I’m gonna be emptying a storage unit in Austin and driving some shit to Arizona.  Looking at uhaul website to rent a 6x12 trailer is almost $500?  Seems high, maybe it’s not.  Anyone know if there are cheaper/better options?

Shit, you can probably BUY a small trailer, use it, and sell it and get your money back when you're done. They aren't that expensive.

I’m gonna rent one from somewhere, I just assumed it would be cheaper.  I imagine U-Haul’s rates are pretty standard.  just seeing if anyone knew something I didn’t.

A round trip rental may be cheaper, but probably not worth the hassle and extra fuel on the return trip.

Issue is Austin being start point. You pick a local like San Antonio and you'll see rates drop 70%.

Might try locations nearby you're willing to drive to in order to save some money and weigh the time/savings.
