August 20, 20241 yr Author For the 5th season in a row it feels like we’re hamstringing our manager by not filling glaring needs on the squad. Robertson is no longer good enough to start at left back and we’ve needed a starting quality defensive midfielder for 3 years. If we sell one of Sepp or Gomez we’re asking to get back into Rhys Williams/Nat Phillips/Ozan Kabak horror show territory due to lack of CB depth. We’re also headed into the last 12 months on the contract for 3 of our 4 best players. I know Jorg Schmadtke was lying in a hammock in Ibiza for the 6 months he served as sporting director but what the fuck have the ownership been doing the last couple of years?
August 20, 20241 yr But hey, we might be getting Alisson's replacement for next season! Feels like FSG is doing another "keep the powder dry" move that resulted in us putting all our eggs in the Jude Bellingham basket which hastened Klopp's departure. Edited August 20, 20241 yr by mdmost
August 21, 20241 yr FSG love being in the black for a transfer window more than they love running a successful football club.
August 23, 20241 yr Rumors that we're trying to grab Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli before the window closes.
August 25, 20241 yr Skipping church today so I can watch the game. Excited to see/hear the home crowd!

August 25, 20241 yr Very nice match. I think Slot is going to take a lot less risks than Klopp and that can help us not get caught on breaks and counters as much. Felt like every time Brentford got in position, we locked in and didn't give them many opportunities.
August 28, 20241 yr Incredible transfer business from a value standpoint for the entire window…but we still haven’t addressed our actual depth needs (CDM, LCB/LB).
August 29, 20241 yr Knew we'd draw Real Madrid. At least they come to Anfield. We go to RB Leipzig, Milan, PSV, Girona We host Real Madrid, Leverkusen, Lille, Bologna Milan and Leipzig will be tough but I like this draw. Edited August 29, 20241 yr by mdmost
August 29, 20241 yr Rumors that we're looking at Alan Varela from Porto. Of course, wet blanket James Pearce says it's not true.
August 30, 20241 yr Author 3rd summer in a row we have ignored the biggest need on our roster. Not sure how you can compete with Manchester City and Real Madrid when you don’t fucking go for it.
