Reds save the sports weekend. Nice win! And of course, City saves two points at the death.

  • Sorry I’m in Denver and needed to sleep in but I caught the highlights  Slot is first manager to win his first match for Liverpool in 33 years. MO SALAH MO SALAH MO SALAH! RUNNING DOWN

  • Never in my wildest dreams did I think the Slot era would start off like this.

Nice follow through by Nunez.  Not sure if that stays in if he doesn't toe it.

Nice 3. 3 of 3 so far in UCL. 11 of 12 so far for Slot which is a first in Liverpool history to win that many matches to start a season. This is going to be a tough stretch coming up with away at Arsenal, Brighton twice and then Villa before another break.

I call Slot’s brand of football as “Orchestra football” instead of Klopp’s “rock and roll football”. Been pleasing to watch us control matches from beginning to end. Should have probably been 3 or 4 to 1 today.

I screen shotted this effort of our guys to get back in the first half.

Time to see what Darwin has when featured. I'm hopeful with Grav and TAA getting in to him. CuJo over Szobo is interesting.

CuJo is most likely to keep everyone from getting over worked.

I expect Diaz to run at Partey all day. Could see another red card for Arsenal if he’s left on an island.

Oh God, we'll never hear the end of it on the EPL thread if this isn't a clean game. Yeah, I'm not overly worried on CuJo and I get Slot is wanting balance. It's all worked so far and honestly I'm kinda happy that Liverpool games can be less frantic. It's a lot more cool, calm, and collected with Slot. I guess that's the Dutch in him.

Suboptimal. Andy got trucked.

VvD! Smart play by Diaz

He’s my least favorite Red and it’s not even a close competition.

I’m sorry you don’t know anything about soccer.

It would sure be nice if Mo would get into the game. He's being a bit of a passenger.

That's been coming since we can't get out of our own end.

Fuck me.

so many stupid fouls. Diaz hacking down Partey there for no reason.

VvD kept him onside but that's just shit defending.

Scoreboard reflects both team’s performance.

we knew we needed a starting left back in the summer… but here we are.

I hope Slot can find an offense at the half because his current one is doing next to nothing today.

Make some changes. This shit is stale. I'm still trying to figure out what Nunez is doing out there.

Why would you take that stupid shot when you had Mo out to the side.

I really hate that rat faced manager.

We just have nothing today. It's like the old Klopp bomb it in and hope for the best days.

MO SALAH! MO SALAH! MO SALAH!

RUNNING DOWN THE WING!

SALAH LA LA LA LA!

THE EGYPTIAN KING!

Nice  answer. Great ball from Darwin

Fair result given we didn't do a whole lot in the 2nd half. Next up, a double shot of Brighton.

Jota is out until after the November break. Will miss Brighton, Villa, and the UCL Leverkusen match.

Perfect lineup for a EFL Cup game.

Too bad Chiesa and Harvey are still banged up. Would have been a good game to get minutes.

Can’t let him cut back to his right foot in the box. He’s a killer.

Another strike for Gakpo. Nice after that poor 3 on 1.

Nice play by Nunez. Heck of a save by the keeper.

Damn. Not much Kelleher could do there.
