The way this game was going, this was how EITHER team was going to break through catching the other team on the break. Rangers strike first.

I don't get not playing guys like Bergvall in Europa. We're going to get everyone injured if we completely refuse to rotate.

IMHO as a whole we are not in bad shape in Europe. We have gotten through the meat of the schedule 3 wins, 2 draws (both Pot 1 teams) and a loss. And the last 2 games are against Pot 4 teams at Hoffenheim (26th, 1-3-2) and hosting IF Elfsborg (24th, 2-1-3) and both of those games are at the end of January.

Right now Spurs sit in 9th meaning 2 wins and likely Spurs are not worrying about advancing, they should be in the top 8 getting a bye. I feel good about how things should turn out.

Maybe this is a passive aggressive way of telling management our depth is shite?

They explained after the game that Bergvall was sick. He was originally slated to start.

Hopefully Udogie's injury isn't serious.

I was driving to New Hampshire for a Santa train ride for the kiddo. Looked at the score at 4-0. That made the rest of the drive A-OK.

Was off doing other things so only got to see the score. Nice nice nice.

Flipped on the first half when SNF got out of hand. That first 25 minutes was a thing of beauty.

Yeah, not spending on depth is killing us. MVV is out for a few weeks too for the same reason as Cuti. Rushed back too quickly because of a lack of depth.

This festive period will challenge Ange. The club's history with managers suggests that he might not survive it. I like Ange, I think he needs to make some in game adjustments, but I think he's trying to implement something successful. I hope he gets the backing.

The problem I see is that they went out and bought a bunch of teenagers. Sure, very talented teenagers, but teenagers. To me, that says we're setting you up for success in 3-4 years, not necessarily right now.  That was a conscious decision by management, I assume with the foresight that it was going to cause some growing pains. Do they have the stomach to make it through the growing pains and stick with Ange?

Today certainly made it easier

One thing that hasn't helped has been Mikey Moore missing the the past 2 months, and no return yet set, with a "virus." The speculation is that he has mono.

This is the model the team has used for years. This isn't anything new. The goal is always find diamonds in the rough on the cheap and cut them to be stars and hoping to sell them much later for big profits.

Frankly, I don't think that the issue is totally with Ange, but more the fact that we have been dinged up so bad with injuries, illness and suspensions. You give him our #1 team and I think we are a bit higher in the table than 10th right now. Sure, depth solves that too, but we have been hit pretty damn hard.

Also on Mickey - sounds like we won't see him until 2025.
