February 2Feb 2 Also I just realized it said so on the check in. Lol. My bad. Across the street from that bar are some bomb ass tacos. Texas style HOMESTATE
February 3Feb 3 So a few musings First - the Europa League win was big, it put 2 big open dates in the schedule. Since the November international break (where a bunch of Spurs players still play), Spurs have basically played weekend-midweek-weekend since the last week in November. The only week they haven't done this was the week of New Year's. This coming week Spurs play at Liverpool Thursday in the 2nd leg of the EFL semis and then at Villa in the FA Cup Sunday. Then they will have a week off until the Man U game next Sunday (Feb 16) and another week off until traveling to Ipswitch (Feb 22). A nice stretch of rest for tired legs. Until the next international break (March 17-25), it comes down to what happens above (FA and EFL cups): Midweek Feb 26 - vs Man City Weekend Mar 1-2 - FA Cup date Midweek March 6 - Europa League Weekend March 9 - Bournemouth Midweek March 13 - Europa League Weekend March 15-16 - Fulham (EPL) or EFL Cup Final Relegation Race So Spurs do find themselves in the mix for relegation, but are currently 10 points clear. The drop zone is always kind of fluid, but usually mid 30's is safe, it's often lower. With a win or 2 in the EPL, Spurs should find themselves in better shape and the EPL season, though lost, at least not a complete disaster. Injuries Looks like BJ, Timo, Vicario, Udogie and Maddison are on track for a return next week for the FA Cup date. Solanke and Romero ideally at the end of the month (Ipswitch). They are going to be needed for March. Edited February 3Feb 3 by Captain Ron
February 4Feb 4 sucks about dragusin. We need bodies. but besides his cool name. He ain’t really been doing it for me. He’s no vdv or romero Or gray or Davies
February 4Feb 4 Agreed with King. Didnt his agent bitch about playing time at first and now he gets it but hasn't been exacty stellar
February 4Feb 4 Looks like we're bringing people in. I don't watch Bundesliga so I couldn't tell you about Tel. Hopefully, he lives up to the hype.
February 5Feb 5 VDV OUT vs Liverpool 😭 From The Athletic: “With Micky, and (Cristian) Romero to a certain extent, I kind of feel we have to be conservative with them. Micky got through the game (against Elfsborg last Thursday) alright but I don’t think he feels ready for the step up in intensity to the Premier League. “After losing Radu, and this is my view, I don’t want to risk losing them. The other guys are inching closer as well.” On Van de Ven, Postecoglou added: “We had a look at the figures in terms of the physical output. He does a lot more in training and got through it okay. The Premier League is a whole different beast. “We have a big week ahead of us. We have afforded ourselves a couple of midweeks without fixtures. After that, Europe kicks in which is massive for us. I don’t see the sense right now in risking that. Having Kevin in is a massive bonus for us. (Van de Ven) hasn’t reinjured the injury. I think we feel and he feels we need to get more into him.”
February 6Feb 6 I’m really torn on VDV. I mean we have a chance to make a final with a good performance tomorrow. Why not go 50% of the game?
February 6Feb 6 They way our defense is setup, it is going to need to be all hands on deck against the Liverpool attack. They have looked the better side thus far and we can't make mistakes to give them easy attempts. Blood on the field!
February 6Feb 6 I also think Spurs need to do what they can to steal an early goal. Push out their advantage. Edited February 6Feb 6 by Captain Ron
February 6Feb 6 Another sloppy pass flipping the field too too quickly combined with the defense being iffy at best and Liverpool being on the front foot all game, it wasn't if, but when.

February 6Feb 6 Sucks with Richie down. But that being said, his lack of pace/ball handling has been a liability out there. If he has to come off for Tel, I'm interested to see what he can do. WTF was that? He had all the space/time in the world.

February 6Feb 6 Well tonight was not the night. Liverpool is a fantastic team, it was going to take a solid effort to get this one and Spurs did not have it tonight.

February 6Feb 6 They are the best team in the league. Spurs are held together with spit, gum and twine. It was impressive to make the run.

February 9Feb 9 What sums up is what’s going on this second half. we either fight and lose 1-0 or Villa score early and it’s 3-0 by the 65th and we fight hard and lose 4-1
