Apparently, Solanke is out for a couple of weeks now. Picked up an ankle injury in the Leicester fiasco.

Richarilson's opportunity to shine against his former club.

Don't like that.gif

Looks like front 3 today is Odobert - Son - Johnson. Interesting.

BOOM!

Banger from Bissouma!

Good attacking play from Spurs. Kulu ridiculous right now,  Everton can't get the ball off of him

Well fuck me. Mickey is probably out for awhile.

Luckily enough, came right back on. We'll see if he comes out in the second half.

Hyperextension can wreak havoc on a knee, but he might have gotten lucky this time.

Don't risk it. Sub him out in about 15 minutes. NLD coming up, no need to chance it.

I was wondering if they would sub him off, but seems fine. He's had several recoveries as the last man back

Yeah, seems very fine

You could say that Mickey is playing so fine that it blows your mind.

I rolled my eyes, but I did it while laughing.

It appears Solanke is out against Newcastle. Sounds like they're being overly cautious with him.

Richarlison is out "the next few weeks". I know, I'm just as shocked as the next guy.

Good news, Betancur will be back this week.

Europa League draw results.

The continental competitions have a weird format starting this year, but seems to be pretty easy to understand. Every team is in a single table. You play 8 games against teams, home and away. The resulting table results in how teams advance.

Teams 1-8 - advance to round of 16

Teams 9-16 - advance to the playoff as the top seeds

Teams 17-24 - advance to the playoffs as the unseeded teams

Teams 25-36 - knocked out of the competition

For the draw, teams were seeded 1-36 based on coefficient and then placed in pots 1-4, 8 teams each. You got 2 teams out of each pot. The main rules - you can't play anyone from your own association, you can't play a country more than twice in the round.

Spurs were really unlucky in this draw. They drew at least one top 2 team in each pot by coefficient (both in pot 3):
Roma (Pot 1- Seed 1)
Rangers (1-5)
AZ Alkmaar (2-2)
Ferencvaros (2-8)
Qarabag (3-1)
Galatasaray (3-2)
Elfsborg (4-8)
TSG Hoffenheim (4-2)

Granted coefficient isn't super accurate as it counts your European play mostly and a lot of these teams miss out many years (Spurs missed last year). They are better than most everyone in their path so I like their chances.

Here we go!!

Option to buy for €30m. Only good for a year per reports. After that is the sell on clause.

Really needed Solanke in this game so that we could move Son out wide.

Mickey was greatly missed.

Bentancur has been charged by the FA for "an alleged breach of FA rule E3 for misconduct in relation to a media interview."

His actual punishment is up in the air right now. There is talk it could be from a single game up to a dozen, compared to similar cases that have come up.

The TL;DR is that Bentancur made an all look same type comment about Son.

I think that this is right in there with stupid things athletes say. You can't let it go and he has to get some sort of punishment. It reminds me of wben Bernado Silva tweeted a racist picture to Benjamin Mendy for his birthday. Does he mean anything bad by it? No, but it's still not something to be said.

Also wanted to say love the fact that the first NLD is at home.  Catching Arsenal at the right time (their injuries & suspensions).

Solanke starts! Son plays wide. This could be fun!

Solanke disappoints. Absolutely should have gotten a shot off.

Oh man, that could have been a penalty, but he got a shot off so it's not called.

Mostly a quiet game relatively speaking. Would love to see Spurs take advantage of their chances.

I feel like the urgency isn’t there on the final 3rd. A lot of you do it, not guys taking their shot.

And I feel like Son has been invisible.
