ARSENAL suddenly appear very, very "Vincible," dropping points in 5 of their last 8 games. For all the touches inside the Newcastle penalty area, just one shot on goal. So many players ice cold at the same time

One of my biggest frustrations right now is that this is a team that has been built to win DUELS, seemingly at expense of more technical/creative players. What we got here was losing the duels but also lacking creativity and technical quality. It sucked. https://t.co/MNfMWMK1He

Jesus and probably Martinelli need to be sold for beer money. If you want to be black out drunk quickly, take a shot every time Martinelli dribbles himself into the corner and loses possession.

One point from nine. Not great Bob.

At some point we’ll have our first-choice XI on the pitch. And we desperately need Capt Øde back.

“back where we belong” = fighting for fourth place while 40% of our starting xi is either hurt or playing out of position.

Obviously Cap makes such an impact in how we play but underrated is how much we miss Benny Blanco at RB. The understanding between he and Saka is really something special.

our entire attack is based around the white-ode-saka connection, and then gabi xl headers. when you take out ode and white, we have no attack.

That’s on Edu and Arteta.   Great at identifying and signing defensive players, pretty poor at signing attacking players.

my hope is that we have enough defensive players and that now we will aggressively pursue more attacking options, because we desperately need them. i didn’t have a problem last season because we were scoring goals for fun, but now that our injury luck has been reversed our lack of depth is really hurting us. we shouldn’t have sold ESR, especially if we weren’t going to use that money to bring in something more substantive than one year of raheem sterling.

either a top flight striker or LW will do the trick. in fact i think i prefer LW because it will be easier to keep Kai at ST and replace martinelli with someone world class in the wing. one game changer in attack and some midfield reinforcement has got to be on the menu for the next two windows.

Maybe we can get someone that can bring in some attackers now.

for me this is the test to see if we are legitimately back in the top tier of european clubs. top tier programs lose guys like this and replace them with someone equal or better. if the loss of edu cripples us then we were never for real. if our recruitment and signings continue to be largely awesome, and if we sign the attacking players we need to, then the era of Arteta is going to be dynastic.

Wow. The Greek owner of Forest must be paying him a ton. Wonder how Arteta feels, after signing his extension.

We missed on Fabio Vieira, who was supposed to be Ode’s backup. Selling ESR and Eddie (who wasn’t in Arteta’s plans) was necessary but also left holes in the attack. Those areas need attention in Jan/Summer windows.

100%. Josh seems a lot more involved since the Kroenkes assumed full control of the club. He brought in Edu; hopefully he’ll find someone equal or better.

Not what I was expecting on Monday.    Silver lining is that this is an opportunity to improve, but I’m struggling to buy in this morning.

🚨🔴⚪️ Declan Rice doesn’t travel just for precaution, not expected to suffer any serious/long injury.Arsenal staff won’t take any risk as he will be assessed for Chelsea game.

For. Fucks. Sake.

Odergard, Rice, Kai and Merino are all questionable for the match at Chelsea on Sunday.   Rice sounds the least likely to play (broken toe).    Even if all four were unable to go, Arteta probably still wouldn't start Nwaneri...

michael oliver is officiating as well, so this is probably a good time to liquidate all assets, cash out on all pensions and bet the farm on chelsea.

we get pulled back while braking away multiple times without a booking, and then white gets booked for that. FOH.

The rest of the Arsenal subs are warming up in big coats and leggings, all Labrum gear. Merino separate from the others and jumper aside he looks ready to go imminently.

Need a Trossard goal so Arteta finally realizes he is good at one thing, coming off the bench and making an impact.

#799

Spent all that money on defenders and it hasn’t paid off.  Soft goal conceded and another 2 points dropped.

Odegaard makes a big difference but still only 1 goal.

if trosssed either gets a good touch or just dummies it then we take all three points. that was very frustrating.
