Since we have a heading machine at striker now, I’d think there’s a place for Tierney in this squad ATM. A headed goal from a whipped-in cross… yes please. Or maybe my high opinion of Tierney is still colored by West Brom in the snow.
February 15Feb 15 Author just finished on my dvr, LFG! COYG!!! 🔴⚪️ merino after the match: “this was a good day to score, because i forgot to get my wife something for valentines, so this is for her.” 😂
February 20Feb 20 Author good news: we got as easy a draw as we can get for UCL round of 16. bad news: it gets brutal after that:
February 21Feb 21 If we scrape past PSV, then Saka and Martinelli should be back for the quarters. Won’t be easy; just somehow need to survive and advance. Was hoping to not be in Madrid’s half of the draw, but whatevs. Edited February 21Feb 21 by Dutch
February 22Feb 22 Brentford mauling a Leicester side we struggled with worried me a little. Sadly justified. Come on Arsenal.
February 22Feb 22 That’s a red all day. Urgh. Maybe the board will finally realize we need less left backs and more attackers.
February 22Feb 22 Author that said, we just went 17 unbeaten during the worst injury crisis we’ve had since my time as a supporter. we were never going to gain 7-8 points on liverpool with merino at striker, no saka, so havertz, two teenagers starting, etc. i can’t sit here and be all that upset, in fact im actually really proud of this team.
February 22Feb 22 Once Saka got injured the chances of winning dropped to less than 1%, once they decided not to sign anyone in the January window, chances dropped to 0.00% Was nice to see Benny Blanco back on the pitch today, other than that what a crap match.
February 22Feb 22 Honestly, Arteta/the board rolled the dice by not signing a striker in the summer when it was obvious to EVERYONE that position needed reinforcements. Left us zero margin for error, and then the injuries killed the season. Players can’t play 89’ every three days fir years on end; Saka, Øde, Havartz… these dudes need cover. Top 4 (maybe 5, if the PL gets another CL slot) is no given if we don’t figure out something quickly. Edited February 22Feb 22 by Dutch

Santiago Giminez went for €32m in January. Seemed like a guy that worse case Arsenal could sell in a year and a half for the same amount of money.
February 24Feb 24 Did Liverpool do something in the offseason I'm not aware of, other than let Klopp retire? He was a god there and now that he's gone they're actually good. WTF?
February 26Feb 26 1 hour ago, Bullneck said: Eddie Nketiah is at Palace? Is he on loan or something? WTF? Sold this past summer for £25m with another 5m in add-ons, in part because his sale generated pure profit from a PSR standpoint since he was in a Hale End product (same with ESR). Getting £30m was good business, but the problem was we didn’t bring in any attacking players to replace those who departed.
February 26Feb 26 Feel like I’ve seen this movie: We’ll have 70% possession, they’ll score on their 1st counter of the game, we’ll bang our head uselessly against their mid-block before they score 2H dagger. Hope I’m wrong. COYG.
February 26Feb 26 Author calafiore looking dangerous, but he needs to stay under control after that stupid yellow two minutes in.
February 26Feb 26 56 minutes ago, Ted Lange said: Getting back to that thing where we score on corners would be great. One of the many things we miss about Saka is his corner delivery; he can put the ball on a dime. That and a little Benny Blanco shithousery on the GK.
March 4Mar 4 So this is what is like to score goals? I’d forgotten. Rather nice. Edited March 4Mar 4 by Dutch
March 4Mar 4 1 minute ago, The Maestro said: Seems a much tighter game than the score. We need to settle ourselves at half. COYG!!!! 💯 There’s more goals in this.Meed more of them our way Credit to PSV, though, for actually playing football instead of a fucking low or mid block.
