Of all the football matches ever played, that was one of them. No one got injured, three points and onward.

Fabrizio Romano: “Big, big, massive proposals will come to the table for Alexander Isak. Arsenal will be there, Liverpool are also there. For Arsenal, he’s the absolute top target, Sesko is the other name on the list. For Liverpool, he’s one of the names they’re considering.”

Im fine with Sesko, Isaak seems like a longshot to leave.  Arsenal simply have to add attacking pieces this summer.  Rodri will be back, City already spent a ton this winter and will again in the summer.  It will be interesting to see what happens with Pool's guys on expiring contracts.   As of now, I expect City to be completely reloaded and title favorite next season.

One England cap, one England goal.

Haaland knows who he is now: Miles. Motherfucking. Lewis Skelly.

18 - Aged 18 years and 176 days, Myles Lewis-Skelly is the youngest player in history to score on his senior England debut, surpassing Marcus Rashford's record of 18 years and 209 days v Australia in May 2016. Rise.

i mean this is the signing. this is who we need. this is the missing piece. if we sign gyorkores, zubimendi, and some depth players that’s a 10/10 window. if we are serious about winning, this signing needs to happen. i’d also be just as pleased with isak, but i feel like that would cost us a lot more.

Really hope Arteta eases him back instead of “90’ every match if he does he dies.”

Listening to Charles Watts daily YouTube, he said that Saka could've played before the international break and that Arsenal are being overly cautious with Saka.   I just want him in full match shape for the 1st leg of the Champions Leauge.

Did something happen to Timber, too?

yeah, he hurt his leg in a challenge in the 1h, then came back and looked good for a long period, but eventually sat himself down and was subbed off. i’m hoping it’s only minor.

So we’ll possibly be without Gabi XL, Calafiori, Timber, and Benny White as we face Mbappe, Vini Jr, Rodrygo, and Bellingham.

Ya Martinelli has had a hell or a game

Went back and watched highlights, and Gabi was fire. No coincidence that he had a few weeks to rest, both physically and mentally.

We all love football and specifically The Arsenal, but the load the players are under these days is clearly a hindrance.

Gabi XL out until, hopefully, the start of next season.  This makes three (THREE) hamstrings that popped so badly as to require surgery. That too much of a coincidence; our training programs, pitches, etc needs to be reviewed.

I’ve had the same thoughts for awhile now.  Seems injuries have really gone up after Gary O’Driscoll left for Utd.

that penalty was absolute horse shit.

Makes sense when you realize today’s ref was the VAR who took 0.001 seconds to approve the red card against MLS Wolves match. This was nothing more than retribution and a “fuck you” to Miles.

Good luck!

crazy, fun fact:

2006 - Luka Modric's first appearance at the Emirates - on 23 August 2006 for Dinamo Zagreb against Arsenal in a UEFA Champions League qualifier - was 34 days before Myles Lewis-Skelly was born, who he will be facing tonight. Longevity.

Modric is in part why Madrid were willing to sell us Ødegaard; his (near) complete lack of dropoff after age 34 surprised even them.

Arsenal: Raya, Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly, Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Merino.
Subs: Neto, Setford, Tierney, White, Zinchenko, Trossard, Jorginho, Butler-Oyedeji, Gower, Nwaneri.

No surprises. Glad Timber is fit to start; bet we see Benny Blanco at some point. White-Odegaard-Saka is the connection we’ve missed badly.
