How about abolishing the entire university, for the betterment of all mankind!

Or just go ahead and use Qatar as the main campus.

what the fuck does "and that hasn't changed my mind" mean?

why not just say "and I am not going to be the coach at Texas"

See, he literally said he gave aggy all he can and there's nothing left.

Welcome to Texas!

#1559

We shall see, but he did not say that he will continue to be the a&m coach and would turn down the job if he as offered at Texas.

#1560

He never said A&M put everything into the program.
sounds like promises they didn’t keep with regards to facilities, he can only do so much with an AD like Trev.

I have no idea if he comes or not. But it's pretty easy to me to read that as "when I took the A&M job I never intended to take another job and my mind hasn't changed that I never intended to take another job.....but  Texas came calling and although I never intended to leave, I'm leaving because I can't turn down Texas."

This is what is odd about the announcement.  If he's in at Texas why would CDC announce Pierce firing knowing Schloss(his friend supposedly) is going to get that question.

I agree that it is funny the texags dude asked the question, forcing him to respond.

bohle story was going out today

Y'all act like you've never seen a coach who is a prime target of a coaching search.  I'm not saying he'll take the job, but that kind of mushmouth response is virtually fact-free.

Who leaves their family to take a job?  Creep.

It was a weird comment.  he was getting divorced and probably didn't want to hang around TCU knowing his wife would be at all the events also.  wasn't there some rumor a la Larry Eustachy also?

Adding Montgomery in the answer does make it seem like Schloss didn’t like the timing of the question. Kinda like what Roy did here

I think yall are reading way to much into that response. Regardless of him taking this job or not he just got as close to his life long goal of winning the CWS. If he takes the job he already knows he's going to be the goat for life. As much as we love to hate those guys most of these elite coaches just want to win regardless of the uniform they have on. I'd be showing a lot of angst as well in that situation.

Peyton: “This is not the last. Tennessee is coming in all sports.”

He didn't want to have to answer that question tonight, instead wanted to focus on his team's effort.  He was pissed because a reporter from what is essentially the media arm of the school was the one whos asked that distracting question.  He didn't deny anything and he left before anyone could ask for a clear answer.  I don't have any idea what's going to happen, but if I was aggy, I would be more concerned than reassured by his response.

Dude he’ll be the highest paid coach regardless of his response. Alberts isn’t gonna sit back and say “yeah, he’s with us!  Don’t have to be proactive - his contract is fine.”  Schloss is winning big regardless of what happens.

As he should!
