Jakob Nowells is the new frontman for Sublime, 28 years after his father's death. Now the same age his dad was when he died, he had his coming out party at Coachella last month and fucking crushed it. 2 Weeks ago, Sublime released their first new single in almost 3 decades, featuring archived lyrics from a jam session with Bradley Nowells and his son Jakob filling in the gaps. It's charting currently, and is classic sublime:

Lou Dog is there too. Unlike other revivals of Sublime, the presence of Jakob gives this a weight and gravitas not before seen. It helps that Jakob Nowells looks and sounds so much like his dad. This is one of the coolest stories in music right now, I hope they go far.

No, but the other members are writing the new songs, not him. The other members were big parts of writing sublimes songs too.

I have friends in SD who are big Stick Figure fans.  Same kinda vibe as Sublime.  The kid looks like he's a good front man.
