Does anybody know what was the question to which he doesn't give a fuck?

I'm still amazed that they hired this guy. Absolutely amazed.

That family is destroying a great franchise.

I consider myself to be a connoisseur of Summer League. The first one I attended in Vegas was well over 10 years ago. I've made the mistake of falling in love with certain players based on their summe

The more I think about it the more I think it's not bad, I mean yeah you want a guy with more experience but Darvin Pockethands had plenty as an assistant and it didn't make a shit.

If you assign a grade for the traditional NBA coaching  role, the hire is probably a D+. However once you realize they were just hiring a dickpuppet for LBJ, its a B- easy.

The question was something about the perception of his hiring/the hiring process from the outside world.

I like JJ, and while I don't really like the Lakers I am rooting for him to succeed. He's a pretty bright dude and I wouldn't put it past him to figure things out pretty quickly. He's not going to win a championship with that roster as it is currently constructed, though, that is for sure.

It does seem a bit strange. It also seems strange that the coaching in the NBA, to me at least, seems to be lacking in, I don't want to say "star power", just maybe lacking in big personalities. I reckon that's a natural evolution from player/GMs like LeBron and players like KD leaving for a new team every couple of years. Trying to catch lightning in a bottle for a couple years is where we are.

The Knicks are sending four unprotected picks (2025, 2027, 2029, 2031) a 2025 protected Milwaukee first, a 2028 unprotected pick swap and a 2025 second-round pick for Mikal Bridges and a 2026 second-round pick, sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/E4pTq3wCMP

The Mikal Bridges deal came together quickly after Bridges informed the Nets that he wanted to be a Knick. Bridges was prepared to sign with NYK and his side was prepared to use that leverage to keep other teams from trading for him, per SNY sources.

More in deal: Houston acquires 2029 more favorable of Dallas and Phoenix first-round pick and acquires right to swap Houston first-round pick for less favorable Dallas first and Phoenix first, per sources. https://t.co/jUR0f5lSjM

Man they really got the band back together.    That's a whole lotta picks but they may be able to recoup them moving randle

OG not coming back

If the Knicks lose Anunoby to free agency, they will have essentially traded Barrett, IQ, and essentially control of 6 firsts (counting the swap as a pick) for Mikal Bridges. I think Bridges is good, but that is a lot. Will be a fascinating offseason, that's for sure.

I remember the days when a player with leverage got you Demar Derozan, Jakob Poeltl, and a protected first tound pick.

KD to Houston?

The implications of the Rockets landing the Suns' picks? Houston wants to trade for Kevin Durant and that becomes far easier if they can return the Suns' picks that they gave up in the Durant deal to the Nets. Suns have said they're keeping Durant for now, but that could change…

A Woj tweetstorm is always refreshing on a summer night...

As intrigued as the Rockets have been about Durant, they're determined to use the Suns picks to be aggressive on deals elsewhere now, sources tell ESPN. Phoenix has made it clear that they want to run it back with this group, and Houston is seeking a major upgrade now.

Told that Knicks’ trade for Mikal Bridges does not change their hope that they can re-sign free agent OG Anunoby. That remains a priority for the club.

“Villanova doesn’t have a real NBA prospect on this squad” Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo are all players from that 2016 Nova squad that are now on the Knicks

#124
so the Nets got Cam Johnson, 5 second round picks (Jae Crowder), and NINE first round picks for Kevin Durant https://t.co/2Qx2xPj7vS

#125
Most importantly in the deal, per sources: Houston relinquishes the right to swap a Houston/OKC first-round pick for Brooklyn's 2025 first-round pick. The Nets control their own pick as they go into a full rebuild -- especially important in talented 2025 draft. https://t.co/jUR0f5lSjM

Nets going full tank in 2024-25 for Cooper Flagg.

Cameron Johnson - you are a Cleveland Cavalier.

NYK free agent C Isaiah Hartenstein is expected to be a top target for several opposing teams in free agency. With the offers that Hartenstein is expected to command on open market, it’s become increasingly unlikely that NYK will be able to retain Hartenstein, per SNY sources

The Knicks are still determined to keep OG Anunoby in free agency, sources tell ESPN, but the ability to resign center Isaiah Hartenstein becomes more difficult now. The Knicks are loading up on wings to match up with the NBA champion Boston Celtics.

Gotta hand it to the nets. They looked dead in the water as a franchise and now they have a real path forward for the rebuild. Unbelievable reclamation project. Did they not get either of the Knicks frp this year?

I’m a little surprised Houston agreed to give up the nets 2025 pick. That one was for sure going to be in the lottery and the 2025 draft is tasty.

Rockets possess a pick swap with Suns in 2025, Suns' pick in 2027 and could end up with the Suns' pick in 2029 based on contingencies. If the Suns are ever faced with breaking up team, Houston's also in prime position to pursue a younger Devin Booker. For now, Phoenix is trying… https://t.co/p29C3XSpe2

Bridges is gonna average 51 mpg next season.

Mikal Bridges hasn't missed a game since high school, has led the league in minutes played multiple years, and somehow played 83 regular season games in 2022-23. So it makes complete sense that Tom Thibodeau wants to test the limits of his human ability

#136

Nice pickup for the Knicks, but all those unprotected picks is potentially Rudy Gobert levels of risk. They should be top 3 in the East this year though.

#137

Since OG opted out that means he can’t be sign and traded right? That leaves only a few teams that could sign him as a FA. Why would any of those teams with cap space want to pay him $35m to be a number 3 or 4 guy?

I could see doing 4 years, $100m. But 4/140? Nah…

#138

I remember the days when tampering involved superstars. Now it’s just to get the college gang back together and be the 7th best team in the league.

Knicks are better than the bucks, they’ll be pretty tough out when randle returns. Randles not some winning player by all means but he’s decent. Losing IH is gonna hurt because Mitch Robinson always has health issues, and nobody after that

I suppose we gotta see what Philly does with their cap space

#142

Rumor is they are going to be shopping Randle for a new Center or something. He's on the block at least.  Not sure what they could get for him though, he's never struck me as a great player and he makes 29 and 31m the next 2 years.

I cant imagine them keeping Randle with the money they will have to spend to keep OG and Hartenstein.

It seems that NYK is trying to negotiate with OG, while OG just wants the biggest contract possible, which NYK is struggling to make work

Knicks go from the 3rd best team in the East to the 3rd best team in the East and give up 5 first rounders and an unprotected pick swap?

They aren’t done yet- MSG is currently negotiating with the Lanape tribe to move real estate holdings and future gate revenues in return for axe heads, cat gut, bolts of woven fabric, wampum, beads and a puncheon of divers trading-goods.

The Clips traded their entire future for him, too.  If this goes through, they'll be left with the broke dick nephew and whatever they get from GS.  Congrats.  OKC owns a lot of their picks, too.

how on earth is golden state going to be able to offer anyone a 4 year max contract??

They still have Chris Paul's 30m deal on the books, which I believe has an option for later this week. Then they still have some other contracts like Kuminga and whatever to make up the difference. Not sure what LAC would want, but there's no way for GS to offer that amount with outright cap space.
