It can be. We got whackos of every stripe up here, from Utah to California all the way up to Seattle.

This is what makes the most sense, at least for now.  Not sure how this plays out for Oregon or UW, though.  They want to go to B1G, but it sounds like that invite ain't happening just yet.

How it all goes down in the student section of the PAC:

I think Rice Eccles is the only CFB stadium I have been to where they allow the fans to have large flags and banners.  Kinda cool IMO.

California has a golden card:

Fucking 7:30 kickoff is bullshit. Being underdogs to Fresno St is even more bullshit.

Week 2 rankings. The Pac 12 South still gargles everyone's balls.

1) Washington - Can't fault them much for losing to Auburn.

2) Stanford - A case could be made that they're #1

3) Oregon - Winning the beauty contests against weak teams.

4) Colorado - Best road win of the season for the conference so far

5) USC - True frosh QB needs to find his feet, then they'll move up

6) ASU - How much longer will Herm be underestimated?

7) WSU - No glaring deficiencies, but we'll see when conference play starts

8 ) Cal - Decent road win and making strides on offense

9) Utah - Workmanlike victories over middling opponents

10) UCLA - His players don't fit Chip's system, so be patient

11) OSU - They seem to have some fight in them compared to last year

12) Arizona - Rich Rod would probably be 2-0 right now...

I see no need to change the rankings from week 2 to week 3. Next week will be fun. Furd plays in Eugene, Washington hosts the Herm, and bottom feeders Zona and OSU have their pillow fight.

My perfect Pac12 weekend:

Wash State sows USC with salt.

Mighty Tree, workmanlike, has a solid win against Oregon.

ASU upsets Washington.

You veered off into fantasy land on that last one.

Potential bowls slots as projected through the 1st 1/3rd of the season for PAC members:

Bowl projections: Washington to the Rose, Stanford to the Fiesta (and a new name for the Levi’s Stadium game: hello, Redbox Bowl)

We’ll start the projections with a dash of news: The game formerly known as the Foster Farms Bowl, and referred to lately as the San Francisco Bowl, has a new name: The Redbox Bowl.Everything else is the same as it was prior to the name change. The location: Levi’s Stadium. The date: New Year’s Eve (noon). The TV network: FOX.The matchup: Pac-12 vs....

I think Oregon has an outside shot to make the CFP this year...Anyway, here is a throwback to the favorite Duck out west going Gangnam style:

I just wanted to remind everyone that no matter how much SBBruin anti-weauxfs this one, UDub has not beaten UCLA in the Rose Bowl since 1995.

Had to google "anti-weauxf".  I will be there with the boy to witness another Bruin beatdown of the dawgs.  Saturday marks the dawn of a new Bruin era.  Or the following Saturday.  Or maybe next year.

I can wait another weekend for that if it's all the same to you.  But other than that I hope that you and your son have a good day out. Bruins have had our number over the years (yes, I was in Husky Stadium in 1990 for the UCLA game that cost us the national championship).

UW has won the actual Rose Bowl since beating UCLA there.

Washington's about to go in dry on UCLA.

The best advice I can give Bruins fans, who have the day scheduled off, while being focused on the Huskies-Bruins game tommorow:

I would not be surprised if the Sun Devils pull off the upset against the Buffaloes on the road...

UCLA's going to kick our asses again.  We're not even as good as Utah State.

Not starting a separate thread for this. Now Pullman is the only P12 stadium I haven't been to.

Enjoy the win. I knew we were in trouble last week when you guys had a pulse against UW while we shat the bed against Rumlin.

Damn. Thought Cal was getting things together under Wilcox. That's a bad loss for them. Good for UCLA though. UC System champs!

the chance to win 5 or 6 games in a season is generally "having it together" for Cal

Sb is knee deep in hookers and blow by now.  (Or not hes an old married dude.).

I thought the hire of Beau Baldwin as OC was a slam dunk. Instead, it has been astonishingly disappointing so far.

It's been the play of the defense that has kept me from including Wilcox in that opinion.
