Exciting that Colt is getting an opportunity to prove he can be a starter in the NFL. He"s certainly earned it. Really pulling for him. Sucks for Smith.

Thanksgiving couldn't get much better if we get to see Colt shred up the Cowboys.

Fucking this.

awesome!  i now have a reason to watch one of the nfl games on thursday when nothing else is going on.

hook'em colt!

Being a Cowboys fan and a Longhorn Fan sure is hard this Turkey Day....looking for Colt to shine while the boys eek out a win, just like in the Texans game lulz.....

TL;DR

"In short, assuming McCoy starts the final six games beginning today against the Cowboys, he'll either be a much more highly paid backup or a free agent."

Dude just can't stay healthy.

Ha...I had to google that mark Sanchez thing. He really does have a job.

LOL Sanchez comes in and hands off and will get credit for a 90 yard drive

I happened to see him on the sidelines during the 30 seconds of the cowboys game I watched.

welp that's my bad guys for picking him up in fantasy. I'll go ahead and commit supuku

Well...another year to stop paying attention and watch my old VHS tapes from 1991.

Sanchez is working on Colt's arm?

Shame..... there's a reason Colt is a backup, but I was really hoping he'd have at least one more night in the sun and it would be tonight over the Eagles.  His body just isn't built to withstand the pro level.  Fucking sucks.  Get healthy, Colt.  Maybe get another year or two of salary as a backup and then become a bad ass coach.  Hook em'.

I mentioned as much in another thread (or two).

He is a great 2nd string QB. He is great in the film room and is usually pretty good in the game he comes off the bench. Sometimes he's also good in the following game, but his body can't last more than 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 games.

The crappy thing about him having to take over the starting position has shown that he just can't physically handle the NFL game. While on the sidelines he was pulling in over $2M in NFL salary alone, not county appearance fees and minimal endorsements. He could have done that for another 2 to 5 years, but since coming on he has look extremely limited and now he's broken a bone in his leg spinning after slipping and it might make the Redskins (and other NFL teams) take a long look at how valuable he really is. This injury could likely end his NFL career and speed his transition to coach or whatever he is considering next.

He was injured quite a bit in college, but was usually able to play through those injuries, but the less he was on an NFL field, the longer his career would last. Unfortunately he became a starter behind a horrible offensive line and well...

Get well soon, Colt.

Pics of what's on these tapes?

Thanks Redskins for not having an offensive line. I'm sure buttfumble will work out great.

Stupid post....

It was a freak leg whip type injury and nothing to do with his "body not being built for the NFL".

He has done more what he has than most.  With the tools Mother Nature gave him, he's excelled.  Not much more you can ask of him.  If he's done, no shame in that.  Collect those checks.  Be smart with your money.  Enjoy the ride.  Then get your ass back to the Hill Country and start coaching and enjoying yourself.  Gig for the LHN on the side.

I’d take him as a the starter for the San Antonio commanders.

Colt is fucked without his mobility, God I hate the Redskins. Absolute idiots. Sucks he went to the Browns and Redskins, but cool he's been getting paid.

Would love to play in Lindsay Rhodes backfield.

She seems to have the attributes to be a good Tight End.

Colt has been somewhat fragiler than a top-rate QB shoud be. Not sure about HS injuries, but he started with the neck/shoulder stinger thing as a RSFreshman against KSU.

Still, as noted, getting a 7-figs annual gig to stand on the sideline and hold a clipboard gotta be a Good Thing™.

Sounds like they just put in some pins or screws. Should be a quick recovery.

So wonder where McElroy is playing now? After all he won the Championship in 09 and is younger than Colt..

Oh, riiight.

Lots of empty seats.
Great thing about no strong allegiance to an NFL team, I can pull for the skins for a while.
I give thank to Jerrah Jones for that ability...never thought I could do it, yet here we are.

I never thought McCoy was going to be an NFL star, but he's made a hell of a nice living as a backup for over a decade.

Name a better job in the world than backup QB in the NFL
Being Richard Branson's son? I mean, dear old dad won't live forever, but in the meantime he finances all sorts of adventures and extreme sports (charity of course) for his grown boy.
