Lady friend and I caught the matinee at the Alamo on South Lamar today. Lots of interesting ideas but not fully baked or tied together too well.

Not a fan of cannibalism, self mutilation and/or suicide. This movie is somewhere between "hey I can at least say I saw it", the car wreck nobody can look away from and an almost three hour beating

I like about 2/3s of it but yea it seemed like it was an unfinished mess at times yet I kind of liked it and its absurd weirdness?

I liked it.  Definitely has some cringe per the usual.  Had a girl next to us cover her eyes and her boyfriend left the theater, never to return.

Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons are really good actors.  Margaret Qualley is very attractive so glad she's getting more screen time.  It extends my childhood crush on Andie MacDowell.

Going to see it later this afternoon. Unhinged Yorgos is best Yorgos (I do not mean best as in quality of work)

God bless Yorgos Lanthimos. No one has ever made movies like he does. I'm not even sure if I think Kinds of Kindness is good or bad, but I'm really glad it exists.

I would like to get the full cut of " the video".

Lol

Just caught this last night. Really liked it. But I just love Yorgos. I've seen everything after The Lobster and I've enjoyed them all.

While none of the three stories are "related" except for the RLM character, the themes of love/connection, how people in power can wield control over those seeking love and affection, and the need for belonging run through each in such a fun and weird way. Plus, lots of boobs.

Some of them want to use you. Some of them want to get used by you. Some of them want to abuse you. Some of them want to be abused....

You're talkin' about boobs, right?

You can assume that whatever I'm talking about, I'm really talkin' 'bout boobs.

I've seen some bizarre movies, but this one might top them all. Having said that, I really liked it.
