Agreed 100%.  There's a ton that I like about Rogue One, up to and including Vader's badassery: I love the idea that Cassian is sort of a Rebel CIA guy who is conflicted about all of the ba

  • The movie was good. The Last Jedi was dogshit. JJ gave it the respect it deserved. Your opinions are all wrong and terrible.

i liked solo a lot more than rogue one.  and i know i am in the major minority.

I lean more toward Rogue One, but I liked them both.   Both are much better than the saga films.

I’m currently watching Rogue One and enjoying it very much.

So there's speculation that Kevin Feige has a particular actor in mind for a particular role. That's led to speculation that it's someone who was in a Marvel movie. So all the fanbois freaked out thinking it was Brie Larson. So she expertly trolled today.

Sorry but I see ‘little ani’ and I gotta do it:

I'm excited for what Star Wars does next.  The best Star Wars storytelling over the past decade has been done outside of the main "Skywalker" saga films:

  • Clone Wars
  • Rebels
  • Rogue One
  • Solo (F the haters - it was a fun little film)
  • The Mandalorian (probably - looks fucking awesome based on the clips and cast)

I think freeing storytellers from "weight" of the "Skywalker saga" will be a very good thing.

Quoting myself because I forgot about two more upcoming live action shows after The Mandalorian - the Ewan McGregor/Obi-wan show and the Cassian Andor/K2 show.  Super pumped about both of those as well.

I'm just waiting for the Big Blue Meanie to appear in film.  I still think he will be the best villain Star Wars ever has.

is the spoilers i read are true, this is going to be a comedy.

It is as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced.

I just want Kathleen Kennedy to retire.

Isn't she the one against releasing the original trilogy unaltered for blu ray?

Just saw the trailed released last month. I really appreciate the nostalgia and throwbacks especially since the second movie was all about forgetting the past, what you know and liked and move on. I appreciate how consistent they are in the details too. Like the leather jacket that deflects light sabers, and cuts through anything.

I really do hope Hayden is in the new film.

Trolling fans is an excellent way to build brand loyalty

Star Wars has always struggled with brand loyalty.

This has nothing to do with Episode IX, but I just wanted to mention that my 14-month-old son is obsessed with the first movie. We watch it (in 20 minute increments) three or four times a day. He points at the TV and breathes heavily when he wants to see Darth Vader, which is ALWAYS.

I have a feeling I might see “A New Hope” about 499 more times until he’s old enough to find out about (and appreciate) “Empire” in a few years. And that is fine by me.

Final trailer tonight during Monday Night Football. Tickets go on sale at some point today. Though I know most of you aren't going to go see it because of TLJ.

Ya, Fandango is live now too...grabbed some for Friday night!

Edited by Tailgate

yep, I wasn't ready because I thought they were going on sale later tonight. All the showings before midnight were sold out except for front row seats, so I had to settle for the midnight showing. Gonna be tired on Friday!

If your open to seeing this outside of Alamo, there are still good seats on Thursday night at other theatres.

Got 6pm opening night tickets. Kids can go with us this time since that's their last day of school before Winter Break.

Why don't you just sit this one out, Red Five. Unless that was sarcasm.

Edited by mdmost

I'll forgive them if it's nothing but 3 hours of mega battles.

"Rise of Skywalker" sold 45% more tickets during its first hour on Atom Tickets than "Avengers: Endgame" did during its first hour earlier this year.

Ehh, I guess I'm in.  Seems like they will stuff as much shit as possible in.

Fuck Rian Johnson. Fuck Kathleen Kennedy. Fuck Disney. And fuck that movie. I’m not going to watch it.

Sorry, were those horses on a star destroyer? Christ on a cracker. This is gonna dump.

Yes but they are space horses. No, wait...Star Horses.

And I will be watching it. Opening night with the family just like we have for all of these recent ones.

A space horse! A space horse! My kingdom for a space horse!

I can't wait to see you all bitch about this one too. It warms my cold, black heart. Especially bitter Red Five.

Pretty sure The Ghost from Star Wars Rebels was on the right in that large ship scene. I mean we finally get B-Wings in action and massive space battles. Isn't that what you whiny cunts wanted?

Why they didn’t hand this over to feige from the beginning bottles the mind. What could have been. Jesus.

Well drew and I will just have to enjoy it ourselves then.

What's the matter with you? I liked the first trailer, and bought tickets tonight. I disliked the last movie, like most everyone else.
