July 18, 20241 yr I tell you what, that leading actress makes my pants tight. She’s very attractive. Acting chops aren’t bad either. I had to look her up because I was unfamiliar.
July 18, 20241 yr Pretty cool fuckin movie. Music, presentation, visually. Fun stuff. Honestly don't know if I would have known that was Cage unless I had known beforehand. I'll Def watch again.

July 18, 20241 yr Spoiler I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the movie, tons of great shots. Nice add to my Halloween rotation. The supernatural payoff was disappointing though. I thought the murders were going to be some joint effort of a creepy Pacific Northwest backwoods satanic cult. I guess a possessed doll maker is interesting too. For me it was like a blend of Prisoners and The Taking of Deborah Logan.

The more we discussed it after watching it, the more I realized it just kinda sucked overall

July 24, 20241 yr I saw this today and thought it kind of sucks. Nic Cage was just cheesy and I thought it was slooow. I probably would have drifted off without a few half assed jump scares. Nothing really happened until the ending that was just kind of meh for me. Edited July 24, 20241 yr by WBT
July 24, 20241 yr Thought it was even better the second time. Loved the atmosphere of the movie - was genuinely creeped out both times and wasn’t ready for it to end. I actually loved Cage’s performance. Was it scary? Not really. Didn’t have to be. Creepy af. Loved how MM played her character (second viewing it clicked why she is the way she is). Several things I didn’t pick up on the first time. If you were on the fence, I highly recommend doing a little research and rewatching it. I think a lot of viewers were looking for deeper meaning where the movie is actually very literal. I would typically agree that a flashback is cheating but I think it worked here very well.
July 24, 20241 yr Spoiler How many family murder-suicides would have to happen in your town before you decided it was time to move? My town has about 20K population -- I'm thinking I'd be putting the house on the market after #7 or #8 at the latest. The town would empty out by the time it got to double digits.
January 9Jan 9 We saw the movie the other night and I gotta say I wasn't expecting the hype. So, it was better than expected. The first thing that I noticed were the camera angles and shots. The wide angle shots hooked me into the scenes every time. Spoiler I'm going to spoiler the rest. I loved the movie. Cage can be a great actor and he proved his chops in this one. The creepy factor the brought to the movie was dead on. All the actors gave great performances and made their characters very believable for me. Maika Monroe played her role in a way that caused uncomfortability and it worked. The story line was good but the way it was tied up was kind of hastened for me but that's ok. As with all movies there are lingering questions for me: 1. Why did the killings continue? 2. Why did longlegs off himself? - I think I know why 3. Did the cycle truly end? 4. Why were the Harkers spared? - I think I know why
June 29Jun 29 On Hulu now. 20 mins in. I dig it. But gonna finish the rest in the dark and late at night. just seems like it will be better than 3pm in afternoon
June 30Jun 30 Well ok then. I know I’ll be seeing the shape of goat horns figure in all the corners of my bedroom now. Haha I liked it. Prolly wouldn’t watch again.. but I don’t watch to many scary movies multiple times. Sinister, hereditary, conjuring, Blair witch I’ve seen more than a handful of times
