December 31, 2024Dec 31 Why not just release everybody then? Give everyone a chance to go to the playoffs.
December 31, 2024Dec 31 Nobody worth a damn is picking that guy up. That's a joke. They would have to have a meeting where they decide their team needs to get slower.

However, saying Zeke has some gas left in the tank is misleading, as the tank is no longer connected to the machine. That said, Detroit OL is good and the OC is competent, so Zeke could be "ok" on occasion.

I think they would be on the hook for one game of a veteran minimum salary which is less than 100K. cheap

January 5Jan 5 Probably the real reason for this decision. The Joneses are that grimy Quote Although those within the organization might claim that this decision was made to evaluate Lance in the final game, the more realistic reason is that the Cowboys do not want to pay Rush a snap count incentive outlined in his contract. This incentive states that Rush will receive an additional $500,000 if he plays in 55% of the Cowboys’ snaps this season, with the backup quarterback currently sitting at 52.5% this year, according to Jonathan Jones of NFL on CBS. Dallas has averaged roughly 68 offensive snaps per game this season and could likely reach this number against Washington if the game gets out of hand, which would be beneficial for Rush if the team opted to start him over Lance, per Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Participating in every snap in this game, assuming the team reaches exactly 68 snaps, would result in Ruhs playing in 55.1% of the Cowboys’ snaps this season and reaching the minimum number for his incentive.
January 5Jan 5 There is already too much $$$ spent on Dallas Cowboy QBs. You think a quarter billion dollars grows on trees?! Pretty shitty of Jerrah not to give Rush his due.
January 5Jan 5 You traded a 4th for the guy. If you're not going to give him a start when Dak is hurt, you're out of playoff contention, and it's the last game of the year, then when will you ever give the guy a chance? They can paint them however they want. I have no problem with this.

Not that anybody thought he was great or anything, but he needs to play.

I agree because if he played well enough, he possibly could have been signed to a contract which would have fetched Dallas a compensatory pick. But now it's interesting..... both Cooper and Trey are UFA's. Cooper has played well enough to possibly be one of the highest. paid backup QBs. I don't think Dallas wants to allocate that amount of money to Cooper. We could end up in a situation where Trey is brought back as the backup and Cooper is signed elsewhere to be a backup for a rookie QB or injury riddled QB. Not the probable course of action, but a possible one.

January 5Jan 5 Fire the Fat Fuck for failure to utilize the talent he had such as this fullback who just kicked everyone's ass
January 5Jan 5 Good decision there to just spike the TD pass instead of taking an insurmountable lead that would fuck up their draft spot.
January 5Jan 5 It it just me, or would you call a TO there and make him kneel it again so close to the EZ?\ Sorry, prefacing this as a team that actually wants to win a game.
January 5Jan 5 Author LOL!!!! The disrespect we're showing Washington, who needs this game. We're rolling out Deuce Vaughn in front of them and saying..... this is what we think of you!!!! Lance hasn't looked terrible. The 4th down GL play was terrible but beyond that, yea he's had some misses but he's really not disgusting or anything. He seems to throw to guys in places better than on the move, but that's pretty normal. We gotta hope the Commanders get their asses in gear and wins this in the 4th.
