Oh yea the cheerleader person is being groomed for CEO. Sure.

Charlotte is quite smart and a great businesswoman.  She built the stadium.  She does a lot of the league stuff.  She headed up the Medal of Honor museum stuff.

The Brian Schottenheimer hire is the Jonathan Mingo of trades, the Taco Charlton of draft picks, the Terence Steele of contract extensions, the blinding 3pm glare of stadium designs.

Ok Shannon has 3 rings, he has earned the right to point and laugh.  The other stugotz has never done anything in his life.

Jerry just on 105.3 the Fan in Dallas. What a clueless asshole. Just went off on the hosts for questioning his decisions and not talking about the “good stuff” he’s done. He made a veiled threat about firing the radio host for asking tough questions. Nothing is going to change until that shit for brains is dead and buried. He has no clue that he’s completely fucked up the organization and everyone hates his ass. Looks like it’s going to be mediocrity or worse for the next few years until he’s finally gone and he seems to be just fine with that.

At this point he knows he's not going to win anything. He's just doing all this to spite Dallas and the Cowboys fans.

The idiot fans that show up to that place need to stop fighting each other in the stands and storm his owners suite to tear him and his kids apart.

I think you’re right about this. He is so defensive when anyone questions him…. I bet the more hate mail and tweets he gets the more he digs in and burns the franchise to the ground just to piss off the people who bitch about him.

Jerry absolutely knows he's the problem but he will never admit it.  After he dies, Steven will take over and shit his own bed. The Cowboys will never win another SB while the Jones family owns the team.

I hope those radio hosts liked those 3 Super Bowls. I hope they liked them very much. If loses take years off Jerry's life, let them keep losing. And I'm not worried about Stephen taking over. No one is going to give him any sort of leash once he's the owner. He has nothing to hang his hat on other than being Jerry's kid. At least Jerry can point to all he built. Stephen can't point to anything other than managing the cap.

He fired the Ticket as flagship station for the same thing (and then fired Ticket morning host George Dunham as stadium PA announcer just out of spite).  I guess the 105.3/Audacy folks somehow thought this time would be different...

LOL that is just perfect audio.  I'll never understand why so many people continue to spend a shit ton of $$ and/or emotional energy on this franchise with that moron in charge.    I would like to think maybe this debacle of a season and middle of the pack years that will follow would move the needle but nothing has changed in 20+ years and people keep lining that idiots pockets.

I love the Stars, Rangers and Mavs but don't give 2 shits about the Cowboys and haven't for a long time and that interview is case and point why.  He has absolutely no idea how to run a team and will just fire anyone that calls him out on his bullshit.

what are you talking about?  he’ll own the team, he’ll do whatever the fuck he wants just like his daddy.  what do you mean “leash”?

Heroes. Keep hammering him until he has an aneurysm. Not firing McCarthy after that abomination of a playoff performance is the icing on the cake for his pathetic ass. He’s a full on piece of shit.

That’s a pretty extraordinary interview. Jerry usually doesn’t bow up and threaten how big and important he is and threaten to fire people publicly. He’s actually going to be pretty upset with himself for losing his cool and the bad impression he left.

On the other hand, fuck him. He is the problem and he thinks he's not. One constant through decades of mediocrity.

He’s old enough that there’s likely senile dementia kicking in along with plentybof other neurological degenerative aging. Many 80+ year olds act like this. Difference is most 82 year olds just fight about HOA and golf club policies and Jerry gets to completely decimate a 8 figure sports franchise and embarrass himself in front of the nation. He needs to retire.

Hell, he fired the great Brad Sham for awhile for criticizing the Cowboys too much.

Jerry's Kids would make a great name for a band.

Oh wait.

The only thing about this that is enjoyable is knowing it's tearing Jerrah's guts out to be paying this much for players that quit on him.

Yeah yeah yeah I heard the same thing about the Lakers and Yankees. Didn't take those nepo dipshits very long to tap out and give GM duties to somebody else. They don't give a fuck about running a sports franchise. They just want all the money and glamour that comes with it.

Agree with this. Stephen will give up the reigns in some capacity - it takes a special sociopathic/egomaniacal mentality to act the way Jerry does.

Stephen isn't Jerry seeking glory as a football man. The entire reason we still have to deal with Jerry Jones is because people said the success in the 90s was all due to Jimmy. So Jerry's been chasing being a football man to prove everyone wrong for almost 30 years. I think Stephen will not be able to withstand the criticism that Jerry is getting. As soon as Jerry kicks the bucket, Stephen will hire a GM. He'll probably want to keep managing the salary cap but he knows people won't stand for him trying to replicate Jerry. At some point, people will revolt once the head of the organization is gone.

And we all understand this is misdirection by Jerry. Get angry at radio hosts, threaten their jobs, and then that becomes the story in the next media cycle instead of his shitty GMing or the team's terrible play in general.

Dale Hansen was an early victim of Jerry's wrath.  Dale has an ego as big as Jerry's and didn't put up with any of Jerry's (or Switzer's) shit, so Jerry fired his ass for being too critical.

this is an all-timer.

And yet of the two, which has been most recently to a Super Bowl and won their division? The Dallas media isn't giving Stephen the same deferment they give Jerry. Nor will the fans. The Davis family got by on this because no one in LA or Oakland gave a shit about those teams, hence why they now reside in Las Vegas.

I hope you mean politicians and not fans. There is no fan base more rabid than Da Raidaaazzzzzzzz.

Sharpe is a clown but I do like the national media ripping Jerry for this bush league shit.

yeah all of that AND...Dale is a Husker and Barry a Sooner, that had to be a part of it.  I watched Dale back in those days....he always came across smug and passive aggressive.  Barry thought the local media should lay down and kiss the ring and Jerry still lives with a part of that sentiment.

I don't think "Jerry Jones is so shitty at his job he's getting blasted by his own flagship station radio hosts, and he's such a senile old bitch he can't take the heat anymore" is the misdirection he wants. This wasn't planned, he got butthurt his "peasants" aren't toeing the company line anymore and lashed out of emotion. Also, not a good sign Stephen is the cap guy when the Cowboys are one of the worst teams in thr league in managing the cap.

Ive been looking for the straw that broke my Cowboy fandom’s back and that interview was it.

Oh please, people like him, true narcisists, have zero clue about the "impression" of others, he thinks he came off as a strong competent leader. He's being sheltered from the backlash and probably doesn't even know people are out there talking about his comments in any sort of a negative light.

I’m just happy our Saturdays are fun again.

Sundays don’t even faze me no more.

Maybe his rhetoric outside of his play-by-play duties has been blunted but Sham's been very critical of them in his pbp for several years.

Yeah I'll take 1/2. It's funny smack talking other college teams.
