MAKE IT TWO!

When Walker Zimmerman scores on you, it's a sign that it's time to pick a different sport to play.

I really like what I’m seeing from Tolkin. Think he has full team potential at a position without depth. Only 21

Guinea has now had two goals called back due to offsides, still 0-0 1st half just about done.   Guinea getting any sort of result out of this is gonna make the final games really interesting.

Of the guys on this roster with a chance to make an impact at a world cup in 2 years, Tolkin is one (but he is still way behind Jedi), none of the CBs (which we desperately need), then maybe 1 or 2 of Tessman, Yow, McGlynn, Aaronson, Paredes make a big leap, but none are that close yet.

Tolkin and Lil'Aaron are the only 2 I consistently rate.

There's a reason these kids play in the Olympics.

I love the energy our women have being younger than they were at World Cup. Definitely a good choice

Trusty played the 3rd most minutes in a top 5 league last year.  His absence as 1 of the 3 overage players is egregious.

Midfielder Gianluca Busio (leg injury) is unavailable for the match against Guinea and will be replaced on today's 18-player roster by alternate Josh Atencio.#OlyMNT

Lol. Guyana commits a horrendous turnover that should at least result in a ball on frame and we give it straight back to them.

U23 baby!

This was a world-class strike from Djordje.

Superb free kick from Djordje Mihailovic to give the #USMNT's U23 side the lead against Guinea! As it stands, USA men's side are going through to the #Olympics quarterfinals for the first time since 2000.

And Paredes scores on a breakaway to put the States up, 2-0. Classic counterattack. Through ball from Paxten was pure sex.

US has been on the front foot this entire match and is being rewarded for it. Lots of pressure and quality chances.

Yeah - we're kicking their ass.

Maybe the FRA game was the wake-up call we needed. These guys are good enough to medal if they can play like this a couple more times.

Does anyone know who we likely play in QF?

Morroco is almost certainly our next opponent from what I saw.

Also for those that missed the PA pass

❤️ What a lovely ball from Paxten Aaronson this is and such a calm finish from Kevin Paredes. #USMNT's U23 side 2-0 up against Guinea and cruising into the knockout rounds of the #Olympics for the first time since 2000 for the men's team.

I really like what Mitrovic has done with this team. Mentality-wise, this team is strong. They respond so well to pressure and tough moments. U.S. Soccer should do something to keep him involved with the federation. He was also really good with the U.S. U-19 team before this.

Absolutely braindead pass out of the back from M. Robinson. Lucky it didn't cost us.

Guinea (Africa) ain't the same as Guyana (South America). We are playing Guinea.

You just threw up the Nap signal. Expect a geography lesson from our benevolent dictator any moment.

Edit: Haha and Inka was faster to the keyboard than Nap.

Yeah I figured they were the one in Africa.
