2024 Election Voter Registration and Rules catch all thread

Featured Replies

FYI for Texas new voters,

Texas law requires eligible voters to register by the 30th day before Election Day. The last day to register to vote in the Nov. 5 General Election is Monday, Oct. 7, 2024.

Early voting for the general election begins on Monday, Oct. 21, and ends on Friday, Nov. 1. The last day to apply for a ballot by mail is Friday, Oct. 25.

I always vote the first week of early voting for one reason - Election Day has a higher chance of incidents / violence, longer lines too.

Everyone feel free to check in on getting registered, checking your status and dropping your ballot. No shame if you're voting for the first time. There is shame if you're registered and don't vote, quit being lazy.

Great thread to have.  On KBTX news last night they ran a story about a woman in Brazos County who is challenging hundreds of voter registrations at the county voting office.  While almost all of the challenges are thrown out, some are not, and I bet that other voting officials aren't being as conscientious about it.  I suggest that everyone check their voter registration status at https://www.texas.gov/living-in-texas/texas-voter-registration/ to make sure that they haven't been improperly removed from the voter rolls.  Get your family and friends to check, too.

Well said ….

I’m very curious the % of this board that actually votes

What’s his username? Has the right picture behind him

Got my primary ballot in the mail this week along with a candidate guide.  WA must be full of fraud since it’s mail voting.
