December 8, 20241 yr 93-62 final Harmon with 19 (!!) and Booker with 21 and Lee with 20 Lee was 6-6 from three and Rori was 2-2
December 8, 20241 yr You know Rori was looking to score immediately after Hidalgo lit her up. Good to see her score efficiently though and hit both threes she took.

December 9, 20241 yr What do we think our chances are against Pedo St? They look pretty good and only have 2 losses this year.

December 9, 20241 yr Texas dropped to #6 in the AP poll after losing to Notre Dame. I don't expect any poll shakeups until next year when conference play starts.

Give those minutes to Holle, Lee, Preston, Phelia, Oldacre, Jak and Carlton. Southern Richmond La Salle SD State UTRGV 5 games in 2.5 weeks before SEC play starts. Edited December 11, 20241 yr by Js1
December 12, 20241 yr Texas up 45-24 at half. Overall uninspired play thus far. I do not understand why Phelia is not getting more playing time. Moore is not having a good game so move Booker there and play Phelia. Why take Phelia as a transfer if you’re not going to play her. Must be incredibly frustrating for her.

Maybe a health issue? 2 for 13 from 3 for a sizzling 15% That's got to change. Sagging off Preston
December 12, 20241 yr FYI, @ Richmond will be a good one. They're 9-1, only loss is by 2 points, and beat Oklahoma State. That's a tricky game on the road.
December 12, 20241 yr Richmond is also #26 in NET. That's going to be a Q1 win or loss. Great opportunity to help ourselves in NET. Edited December 12, 20241 yr by Rickylovesweed

December 12, 20241 yr I think Lee was injured in the WV game. She came out early in that one and didn't return. Then only played 3 minutes against ND. She needs to play a lot. Athletic on the defensive end and can shoot. The shooting is something we need.
December 12, 20241 yr The big problem is our starters right now. I think our best lineup is Harmon, Lee, Booker, Carlton, Oldacre. Or a smaller lineup of Harmon, Phelia, Lee, Booker, Oldacre. Right now we have 3 starters that probably shouldn't be starters.
December 12, 20241 yr I guess Moore is having nagging knee tendinitis. It’s clearly affecting her play. Totally agree about the starters; it’s like Vic can’t make the change out of loyalty/ seniority or something. Vic is not realizing this team’s full potential by starting those players.

She doesn't have much mobility at all. I guess all the injuries caught up to her. She can still be an effective player at times but it needs to be a more limited role.

She’s a shell of who she was before all the injuries.

December 13, 20241 yr Yeah, ND is good. Their early season struggles had a lot to do with adjusting without Westbeld. When they get her back they will be legit national title contenders (I picked them to win it all).

December 16, 20241 yr Our non-conference schedule is looking a lot better than expected. WV is really good and Richmond is good for a G5 team. Also, South Dakota State will be another tricky one in a week but at home this time. They're 9-2 with some really quality wins and close losses to good teams. They're #41 in NET.

December 16, 20241 yr That could be a hell of a tournament with at least 3 top 10 teams and maybe 4 (no idea on Duke for next year), but Texas/SC will always be top 10 preseason and UCLA returns Barker, Rice, Jacquez, Gardiner and Betts and Leger-Walker is redshirting to play next year due to injury.
