December 29, 2024Dec 29 If Phelia's eye is still bothering her, she may need another surgery because its not going to get any better on its own.
December 29, 2024Dec 29 Preston reminds me of Daryl Armstrong. Smaller, wiry point guard that is all quickness and intensity and energy.

Before the season started, I thought we were going to be desperate for her offense. But with the freshman playing so well, that doesn’t seem to be as big an issue.

December 30, 2024Dec 30 Norfolk also beat Mizzou earlier this season. Leading SEC play at 2-0 😂 Ou with an uninspiring 82-64 win against New Mexico. Was a one point game with about 3:30 left in the 3rd

Phelia is definitely the better scorer but Preston is probably better at everything else. I.e. defense, ball-handling, playmaking for others, etc.

I figured we were going to start Carlton and Lee in place of Holle and Moore. Took Carlton a while to see the floor today though for some reason.

She reminds me a lot of the PG that Vic had on the teams who made b2b national championship games at Miss State. Morgan William. A bit undersized but athletic as hell and a bulldog. I think Vic even made that comparison when talking about the signees. It makes a lot of sense after seeing Preston play.

January 2Jan 2 Very similar resumes. Both teams undefeated in regulation and each have a 10 point loss in OT.
January 3Jan 3 On3 present prediction for what it's worth. Please not OU or LSU. Can anybody shed more light on this? I don’t follow too closely but thought it was an us vs Tech battle? What is the OU connection?

They can pay - they did land Beers. They run a wide open offense where she can just shoot the ball and not play defense. Don’t think Jennie is difficult to play for and her seat is secure

January 3Jan 3 Oldacre creating major issues in the paint. Clawing our way back in this with major foul trouble.

January 3Jan 3 Up 1 after being down 12. Good response especially since our best player hardly played due to foul trouble.
January 3Jan 3 You have to keep Lee in the game because of how she shoots the 3 which is a weakness on the team.
January 3Jan 3 Once again the Moore minutes were bad. Vic just has to realize she's not a quality player anymore.

She can't move at all on the defensive end which is why we were picking up so many fouls in the 1st quarter. We went on that run with her sitting on the bench. Edited January 3Jan 3 by Rickylovesweed

January 3Jan 3 Jak gets in and immediately tries to do too much and turns it over. Carlton instead of Moore but Carlton is 0 for 5 in 10 minutes. Beers and Booker both played only 4 minutes due to fouls.
January 3Jan 3 1 minute ago, Rickylovesweed said: These are such soft foul calls. they set the precedent in the 1Q and now they are screwed because the coaches are now bitching that everything is a foul.
January 3Jan 3 This looks like pre-injury Harmon tonight. OU in the bonus 3 minutes into the quarter. Fucking unreal.
