January 5Jan 5 Preston is a PG that shoes to S.Carolina or LSU, glad she’s here. Her speed is a difference maker
January 5Jan 5 1 hour ago, Js1 said: OU up 46-39 on undefeated Tenn in Knoxville Vic gave a good blueprint for forcing OU turnovers - 17 so far in the first half, after we forced 27 OU pulls it out by one, 87-86.
January 5Jan 5 Looked like maybe ark left higgenbottom in the game to take some late shots and keep her scoring avg up, but then the last 2 possessions she didn’t shoot so maybe not.
January 6Jan 6 #2 in NET, as SoCar's win over Mizzou was better than our win over Arky by about 80 NET rankings #4 scoring offense (90.8 ppg) and the SEC has 4 of the top 5 (Tenn #1, LSU #3, Texas #4, OU #5) #31 scoring defense (55.9 ppg), which is #3 in the SEC, behind Ole Miss and SoCar #3 in turnover margin #2 in bench points per game #18 assist/to ratio #5 rebounding margin Edited January 6Jan 6 by Js1
January 6Jan 6 Week 10 top games: 9 Ohio State @ 25 Michigan - 6pm Wednesday (B1G+) 4 USC @ 8 Maryland - 7:30pm Wednesday (FS1) 12 KSU @ 22 Utah - 8pm Wednesday (ESPN+) 6 LSU @ 16 Tenn - 5:30pm Thursday (ESPN+) 14 Duke @ 19 UNC - 6pm Thursday (ACCN) 18 Alabama @ 5 Texas - 7pm Thursday (SECN+) 21 NCST @ 24 Cal - 9pm (ACCNX) 5 Texas @ 2 SoCar - 12pm Sunday (ESPN) Texas/SoCar and USC/Maryland are definitely the top games, but LSU/Tenn should be interesting too
January 7Jan 7 Oldacre was such a good addition. She's never going to do anything special but she's such a valuable player the way she throws her body around in the paint. Best thing is she knows her role too. She's not out there jacking shots or trying to dribble on the perimeter. When she comes in she gets in the paint and uglies things up.
January 7Jan 7 Author Vic not happy with the Thursday-Sunday SEC schedule and it’s for a reason that I’m not surprised about considering Vic.
January 7Jan 7 SoCar loses Ashlyn Watkins to an ACL. Big loss. They’re as deep as we are, more so in the post than we are, but every bit helps! 18.3 mpg, 7.3 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.4 spg, 2.1 bpg, 60% FG. She's had 4 games with 3+ blocks She was their 2nd most used interior player, with Edwards and Kitts. Edited January 7Jan 7 by Js1

January 9Jan 9 I've got two tickets a few rows behind the visiting bench I can't use tonight. - free to any Surly that wants them.
January 9Jan 9 Vic said in his pre-game PC that the analytics say a 4 guard lineup is better than the tradition 3 guard, 2 forward lineup ( @Rickylovesweed, as you've been taking about the best lineups with Booker at the 4) He seemed frustrated by Jones' injuries (again), having to manage A-Mo's load bc of her knee injuries and Holle is dinged up a bit.
January 10Jan 10 Not sure why the Alabama coach is mad. You can't just stop in front of a player running down the court. There was nothing malicious there by Jones. That was the correct call.
January 10Jan 10 Alabama flopping all over the court to start this one and to the refs credit they aren't calling it.
January 10Jan 10 21-5 start against the #18 team in the country will work. Alabama's zone D is not working at all. We are picking it apart.
January 10Jan 10 Alabama has 5 points and both those FGs were contested. They are getting nothing easy.
January 10Jan 10 2 minutes ago, Rickylovesweed said: This looks like a final 4 team tonight. This is dialed in. We can start slow but damn, Vic said not tonight 29-7 Texas after 1
January 10Jan 10 7 points for Alabama and all 3 shots were contested/tough shots. Best defensive quarter of the year.
January 10Jan 10 Since OU, this has looked like pre-injury Rori. She's locked in and abusing a good guard in Green.
January 10Jan 10 This is looking like a final 4 team. Wins over @ OU (#11 NET), neutral court WV (#12 NET), Alabama (#16 NET), @Richmond (#36 NET). The only loss is an OT loss @ ND (#7 NET). We will probably have a couple more bumps in the road with a SEC schedule but this team is legit.
January 10Jan 10 Author Regardless of seed, please don’t send us back to the PNW. Birmingham will be just fine.

You would think the committee would give some consideration to having just sent us to the PNW last year as a 1 Like damn, make UConn or SoCar fly across country. UCLA will def be in the PNW
