I can see Carlton transferring , I didn’t see her in the team photos, or maybe just a coincidence idk. I’d hate for her to go though cause I know she has talent.

just has to get out of her lazy state

Yep. That win in Columbia for UConn was not a fluke

UConn is the only team in the country that can out-talent South Carolina.

Watching this championship, I feel pretty confident saying Texas maxed out their potential this year. UConn and South Carolina are just the two best teams right now. It takes time to build up to that level, but we are obviously on the right track.

Yea if Vic is gonna win he’s gonna have to load up with the best. We can blow off losing Chavez but that’s the talent you need to beat the uconn and scar.

UConn is just surgical.

Maybe Luigi (his real name) hangs it up after this but I doubt it

Geno is what, 71? If he is going to hang it up, after winning a championship would be a good time.

Not just after a championship, but the end of PB’s career

80-48.. what an absolute ass kicking. Geno is the fucking goat.

Absolutely hate UConn winning again, but still worlds better than Mulkey winning it.

Considering UConn hasn’t won it since 16, I’m not mad

Especially after your 1st NC in 9 years? Perfect time to retire and enter in the Shea Ralph era

But Fudd is coming back and Strong is so legit. I could see him stick around another year or two

You know the most on the womens side. How’s our roster look for next year and class coming in? Any portal needs? Obviously shooters but is that what Vic targets?

Portal needs for Texas - a big to replace Jones, likely a PF and the potentially another guard if Rori doesn’t come back

I *think* she has to announce by tonight if she’s going to the draft or not (48 hours after season ends)

I'm a big fan of PB and her style of play and I think she's just fun to watch. When her game is on, it's so much fun to watch her play. I think her career deserved a national championship, so I was rooting for them if we weren't going to win it

Texas is #4 in the top early top 25 (UCLA, SoCar, UConn, Texas)

LSU 6, OU 7, Tenn 8, Vandy 11

SEC SEC It just means more... money.

I'm betting they have us play LSU or OU twice next year.

Took a while to get fully healthy, I thought she was starting to contribute.

Can't blame her for leaving, hope she finds a place to showcase her talents, seemed to be a great teammate.

Sucks to lose her but maybe her replacement will be more to Vic's liking.

The kind of mobile, highly skilled interior players UConn and SCar put out there don't grow on trees. But if we're going to earn the crown, we need to find at least one who can hold up against the likes of them. Ideally, we'll find a couple. I'm hopeful we can.

Must have made the schedule before the Chavez decision

Should be the opposite of 2025, and at South Carolina to make it 8 and 8

Home: OU, aggy, MSST, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Kentucky

Road: Arky, LSU, Bama, Tenn, Mizzou, Florida, Vanderbilt, South Carolina

Brutal conference road schedule next year - LSU, Tenn, Vandy, SoCar all in the too early top 11

I hope she does. I want a fully recovered Rori who has an entire offseason dedicated to getting her shot back

I agree. She had a really nice pull-up jumper before her injury. Hopefully, another year separated from her injury will get her completely back. Another year helped Buekers a great deal.

This is impressive.

We had a better Final Four showing than UCLA but finished 4th behind them in the final poll

Did we? UCLA and SCAR both got smoked.

UCLA - 34 point loss in the Final Four game.  Down 42-22 at the half
Texas - 17 point loss in the Final Four game. Down 38-35 at the half.

I understand - but UCLA was obviously playing a much better team.

I'd like to see what Vic and Co. could do with her

5 start post in the class of 2023

Mulkey hasn't really developed a true post player since Bill Brock left her to go to Tarleton.  She just plays a bunch of converted 4s at the 5 (Morrow, Smith, Reese) and doesn't develop her true 5s.

About as surprising as Kim Mulkey showing up in a tacky outfit on gameday

She was never playing here

Allegedly:

  • Texas is working to get visits from Breya Cunningham (6'4 post from Arizona) and Serah Williams (6'4 post from Wisconsin).  Cunningham also visited USC and Baylor - she is a former 5 star who Texas was in the mix for in her initial recruitment.
  • Texas is in the "mix" for Avery Howell (6'0 freshman guard from USC) - former 5 star.  UW leads, but she is from Boise.

Cunningham has 2 more years
Williams has 1 more year
Howell has 3 more years

I'd be prioritizing Cunningham, since we have familiarity with her.  Williams would mean both posts would be gone after 2026.

Also a really good post option, and a surprise

CDN media

Nope. And football is only if you transfer in the spring portal

Lovato is following PF Gassama from NMSU and 6’6 Okot from MSU

Breya Cunningham followed Blair back

When was Rori’s deadline to declare for the WNBA draft?

Some really solid 5s in this portal wave. I especially like Okot's skills and athleticism.

Last night? 48 hours after season ends if after March 31
