June 17Jun 17 When is someone going to start a 2025/2026 thread? That's what we're typing about now. Do I need curse the season and do it myself? You idiots will not enjoy the frequent title changes based on my mood and kneejerk reactions to single games.

July 1Jul 1 Boy, Vanderbilt went to great pains to tell everyone that Khamille Pierre wasn’t transferring. They’ve now parted ways.

I’m not sure she’s eligible to play next year unless she gets accepted somewhere and walks on. And they pay her via NIL/House settlement and not a scholarship She was poised to be a top 15/20 player in the nation

Yep Non-conf in Vegas if Texas beats UCLA and SoCar beats Duke One regular season conference matchup SEC tournament NCAA tournament (depending on seeding) Also that is good news for our non-conf SOS - UCLA, Duke, SoCar are all going to be top 10 teams. We will play 2 of them
July 2Jul 2 South Carolina in basketball is like OU in softball….a hump that’s hard to get over…but when you do….results can be great.
July 4Jul 4 Stupid format, just have a 2-night DH and swap teams to avoid possible pairing such as UT/SC. UT/UCLA UT/Duke
July 8Jul 8 Madi Booker is a FIBA AmeriCup winner Booker logged 25 minutes in the final, finishing with seven points and five rebounds. Though she wasn’t the leading scorer, her rebounding, poise and defensive presence helped Team USA erase a halftime deficit of two points and hold Brazil off down the stretch. Throughout the week, Booker carved out a consistent, steady role on a roster full of NCAA stars. In the semifinal against Canada, she posted 12 points to help her team pull away with a win. Against the Dominican Republic in the quarterfinal, she recorded 13 points, three assists and a tournament-high six steals, tying a USA AmeriCup record. Her effort on both sides of the court showed in a group-stage matchup with Puerto Rico. With the game tied late in the second quarter, Booker sparked a 17-3 third-quarter run by scoring seven quick points. “I liked that we went into halftime and had to figure some things out. We had to regroup,” Lawson said. “The group that started that third quarter — and Maddie — was a big part of that. In that game, Booker finished with nine points, five assists, three blocks and two steals in just 20 minutes — one of her most complete performances of the tournament.

UT/UCLA UT/Duke I agree 2-night DH of Texas/UCLA and SoCar/Duke, followed by Texas/Duke and SoCar/UCLA would be the tits I am, as it is, considering going to this. Hopefully they up the teams to 8 or 12 teams in 2026 (the men's side of this tournament is 18 teams).
July 24Jul 24 Vic spoke to the media - Schedule is done, but not released. We know we play UNC (SEC/ACC challenge), Baylor (in FW), UCLA and SoCar (both in Vegas) in non-conf play Players Era tournament may move to 6 teams next year so it would be 3 games instead of 2 Had a lot of good things to say about Justice Carlton. She had a good summer and I believe is brace free now Edited July 24Jul 24 by Js1
July 25Jul 25 South Carolina's Ashlyn Watkins, who tore her ACL last year and missed most of the year, is also taking off 2025-26. So Dawn will not have one of her star players
July 30Jul 30 No return trip on Maryland’s schedule after we stepped out of SEC play last year to face them in their backyard. Very rude
July 30Jul 30 Texas will be doing a return trip to South Dakota St on Dec 21 in Brookings, SD Vic doesn’t mind going to smaller G5 schools who will come to us

August 5Aug 5 I thought Aaliyah Moore was redshirting this season, but she isn’t even on the roster. I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt she’ll be suiting up for during the 2026-2027 season

I agree, I think they'll reassess a year after her surgery (Vic said they would) and decide she needs to be done. She would be great to move into radio with Craig Way or as part of the home broadcast for ESPN+.

August 14Aug 14 Am I the only one that believes Ashton Judd was an underrated addition? She averaged 12 points a game and around 5.5 rebounds per game over the last 2 years in the SEC. She can shoot from 3. Im trying to understand how she wasnt considered a top transfer?
