And I’ll say this - Spurs fans totally get this season was a disaster. The heart of this season the team had a starting line up of injuries. WE DID NOT CRY ABOUT THAT. And yeah we finished 1

Second best Duran to ever come out of Birmingham, imo.

Goalkeeper Rule #1: Never get beat at your near post.

C'mon, Emi.  Do better.

Called the pick. Don’t think they needed to touch the defender but I see some teams get away with a whole lot worse on corners.

Great set play by Villa.

I *SO* disagree with that ruling and VAR explanation.

Poor showing from Villa today. Second best to most 50/50’s.

Need a little more depth to compete in the league and CL. Relying on too small of a squad currently.

100% agree on that assessment ... so, I know!  LET'S SELL OFF BUENDIA AND DURAN!

I occasionally watch press conferences (Sark and Arne Slot). How in the year of our lord 2025 do we not have mics for people that ask questions? Love listening to the coaches answer a question and none of us have any idea what was asked.

This feels like Arsenal releasing years of frustration on City. How's it feel, Pep?

Worse loss in 22 years for city.  Love to see it.  Stay humble Haaland

A pub scored an own goal with a promotion offering a free pint every time Nottingham Forest scored - only for the Reds to win 7-0.

The Gedling Inn, in Nottinghamshire, came up with the promotion to spread the word after it started to televise local Premier League games at the venue.

But the incentive backfired after Forest scored seven without reply against Brighton on Saturday - and almost 300 free beers were handed over the bar.

Landlady Beccy Webster said: "When the final whistle went, I just said 'phew!'"

The Main Street venue had only decided on the offer on the day of the game.

IMG_6385.thumb.jpeg.5502f47414c1475358feef2a76298fcd.jpeg

Miss Webster, who has run the pub for six years, said they had only just started televising the game when they decided on "a crazy offer".

"Never in my wildest dreams did we imagine they'd score seven goals.

"I was upstairs feeding my baby when I heard the first goal go in, then the second quickly afterwards, and I had just come downstairs when the third went in - I thought 'here we go'."

IMG_6386.thumb.jpeg.a5c6c4a4053b8cd8e3cfb12dec0e7a93.jpeg

But despite handing out so many free drinks, Miss Webster said it was still "a good day".

She said: "People were singing, and people were respectful with the offer - lots of people were still buying drinks, people stayed for food, and lots of people have been asking if we'll be having any more offers on!

"It's just nice to get behind the team - it's good for the whole city, they're putting us on the map."

I’ve thought Saliba is overrated for a while. Doing his best to let the rest of the world find out today.

I’ve waited 20 years for United to be this bad.

I don’t know where they go from here. They hired a manager that plays a completely different formation than the (shitty) players on their roster play. They have tons of money spent on bad contracts and are limited in spending by PSR. They are co-owned by two of the biggest bastards in professional sports.

Hopefully Madrid were watching and came to the conclusion that they can absolutely do better than Saliba in their search for a center back replacement.

saliba isn’t overrated, but gabriel is underrated. gabriel is just as good as saliba plus he scores more goals than a bunch of recent epl £100m forwards do.

I think both are good; and agree with you on Gabriel on the offensive front he’s a beast in the box scoring goals. But Saliba getting tagged as good as Van Dijk is/was laughable. It’s not Saliba’s fault he’s not at that level.

maybe he’s not as good as VVD but he’s been as good as pretty much anyone else at the position in the epl, and he’s been particularly adept at shutting down those bigger, clinical strikers like haaland and isak, which is what made his performance vs NUFC all the more disappointing. his track record thus far speaks for itself though.

that’s all deserved. he’s been a rock his entire career, even if he’s recently slipped up a bit.

Without a specific FA Cup thread.... That was a bright start for Villa.

Jeebus... Going to start polling the Holte End for anyone with center back experience.

Little bit of squeaky bum time here for the last few minutes of stoppage time.

possibly the most inverse everton outcome ever there in the derby.

in a shocking twist, liverpool supporters dissatisfied with game refs.

next up, is there a "systemic officiating bias against arsenal?" with esteemed guest, derka.

That’s even better than winning a trophy.

trophies are transitory.

acting like complete bitches and starting a hissy fit fight because you gave up a late goal while your fans throw debris at players while guests is more a statement of long-term values and character.

that looks like it took some effort. i suppose that is a relatively healthy and productive way to channel your overwhelming frustration and anger.

if only curtis jones was so mature in coping with and managing his emotions.
