And I’ll say this - Spurs fans totally get this season was a disaster. The heart of this season the team had a starting line up of injuries. WE DID NOT CRY ABOUT THAT. And yeah we finished 1

How is that a stupid rule? He literally deflected with his arm to alter a shot. If he was a defender that would rightly be awarded as a PK.

Because it was unintentional and his arm wasn’t away from his body. In other situations that’s not a handball.

It is a stupid rule though. That should be a goal.

I agree. Soccer players should be allowed to use their hands. And kicking the ball should be illegal. And they should play inside on a wood floor, and score points by putting the ball through a little loop of metal suspended horizontally 10 feet off the ground.

That would just be silly.

You can’t score a goal with your hands dude. Like what are we talking about here

Thats away from the body. And if a defender does that to alter a shot, unless it was an OG, that would be awarded a penalty.

I don't really need to argue about, refs sometimes have to make hard calls but this is the shot you are looking for...not the one where the ball still hasn't gotten to Havertz

It kind of proves the point. While spinning around, he left his arm out to get hit. Unnatural position/not against his body.

Yea, if it hit his arm....not sure it did, not sure it didn't.  Like I said tough call.

That’s not the arm in question dude. And I don’t think it hit his arm anyway.

My opinion stands.

The Toffees woke up angry today.

Spurs are missing 10 senior players. Guys like Son, Kulusevski, and Porro have zero left in their legs. Postecoglu tried a makeshift lineup and formation and look very uncomfortable playing with a back 3.

how is that different to any other day of their lives? #bitterblues

One of my favorite things in life is talking soccer with an uber/lyft driver. Just talked AFCON, WC qualifying, and Yoane Wissa with a driver from the Congo.

Michael Oliver used to be a good referee. Been living off his reputation for a number of years.

brutal red card today Arsenal fans.

Gomes for Wolves seems like a huge dumbass. Not sure why their coach left him in.

Lol. Didn’t even think of that angle due to my rage.   But yeah good point, he should’ve been subbed off awhile ago

what’s so wild is that the wolves player who got sent off only got a yellow for a foul that was inarguably worse, particularly by the “serious foul play” definition of MLS’s straight red. just unreal that VAR exists and yet they still get it totally wrong.

We have proof some refs have a bias vs certain teams.   Oliver shouldn’t be reffing Arsenal matches any longer.

Chelsea getting started early. That was very Harry Maguire.

This young CB for City is cratering. Wow.

He’s playing like Ali Dia

The Haaland goal was impressive, especially for a machine to pull off.

Chelsea keeper is awful.

They’ve bought 5 in the last 2 years. None of them are worth a shit.

which is insane, because i’ve been an arsenal fan since 2011 and we’ve never had a bad keeper. not even so much as a backup keeper who we didn’t all believe in until matt turner weirdly became our backup for a short time. Szczesny, Fabianski, Ospina, Cech, Emi, Ramsdale, Raya- as an Arsenal fan post-Almunia the concept of not having multiple good keepers is totally foreign to me.

Ramsey! 1-nil to the Villa in the "Bitch Stole My Look" derby!

PGMOL has backed michael oliver and upheld his call on MLS which will lead to MLS missing games against man city and michael oliver’s beloved newcastle. their reasoning is the latest instance of an absolutely brand new rule that’s only just now been invented especially for arsenal, as according to the PGMOL anything above the ankle is an automatic red. right. r/gunners is currently overflowing with pictures, videos, and highlight reels of arsenal players getting spikes to the shin with either only a yellow or no call. we are witnessing corruption. it’s fucked.

Oh, and the head of the referee’s association says Coote “deserves” a place in the game.

Because blatant bias against certain clubs seems to be a prerequisite to be a match official these days.

independent panel has overturned the straight red and three game suspension on MLS. took them five seconds to make their ruling.

oliver made the terrible call; VAR confirmed it; PGMOL tripled down on it being the right call. and yet, as we all already knew, they were all deemed to be full of shit. i wish we could get every non-City club to threaten a boycott unless changes are made. because short of that nothing is going to happen.

They do, according to Tom Bogert.
