that looks like it took some effort. i suppose that is a relatively healthy and productive way to channel your overwhelming frustration and anger.

if only curtis jones was so mature in coping with and managing his emotions.

Or maybe Doucore shouldn’t be celebrating a tie in front of opposition fans like he won something.
Then again I can’t imagine having to celebrate about squeaking by to a 500 home record against your biggest rival.

Also imagine coming to the defense of a ref that had to give out like 10 yellows during a game and then red carded a manager for a handshake.

I thought you were a city fan nowadays?

And I’ll say this - Spurs fans totally get this season was a disaster. The heart of this season the team had a starting line up of injuries. WE DID NOT CRY ABOUT THAT. And yeah we finished 1

Some of the Fulham players have the positive muscle arms.

About a 6 minute VAR review in this Palace-Everton game where they end up just guessing and drawing random lines. Worse than just going with the call on the field.

Helluva match ... Villa had several opportunities at the end to snatch all three, but settling for one point against the league leaders?  Okay.

Need to start getting some 3-point results, though.

great showing, how are you only in 9th?
Because we keep dropping points to lower level competition. Ugh.

Leicester City are dreadful. Any team that starts Wout Faes at centerback should be relegated on general principle.

when mikel merino, who’s never played a game of striker in his life, comes on with 15-20 minutes left playing at the striker position, and you proceed to allow him to score a brace…yeesh.

Moyes has certainly turned Everton around pretty quickly. 13 of 18 points out of the gate and on their way to 3 more today.

In contrast ManU is a freaking train wreck. They really seem like a club with no plan. Just throw shit on the wall and see what sticks. They are going to take some time to rebuild.

Boom! 90th minute winner (surely)!

2-1 to the Villa over Chelski.

Chelsea have the worst collection of goalies. Their best goalie starts for Bournemouth.
Yeah. That was a howler on Villa's second.

One of the owners of West Ham is a rapist (Also so is Thomas Partey). But laws in Britain don’t let their names be released.

i cannot explain how his case is taking this long, he’s going to be retired by the time they resolve it at this rate.

Props to Sloot for keeping it going for the Puddles. They are uncatchable.

fun fact for everyone...the two premier league teams that have not lost in their last five league matches are liverpool and everton.

FINALLY ... Asensio with a nice combo platter served up by Rashford to make it 1-nil to The Villa over Cardiff in the 69th minute in the 5th Round of the FA Cup.  Dominated possession all day, but that doesn't matter unless the ball's in the back of the net, which it finally is.

Flood gates are open.  2-nil (another Asensio goal!) in the 80th.

Horvath is the Cardiff keeper and has been pretty busy today, but no chance on either Villa goal so far.

Christ arsenal fans are the biggest babies. Wasn’t that play like a decade ago and they still won’t let it go? (even though it was the right call)

FIFA (or whatever the rule body is called that FIFA abides by) is changing the goalkeeper "6 second rule".  Apparently, it's now going to be *8* seconds, and if the ref gives a clear 5 second countdown before it's called, it's going to be a *CORNER KICK* now, rather than an indirect free kick in the box wherever the goalkeeper was holding onto the ball.

It's supposed to be put into effect in July 2025.

I'll expect to see a lot of corners called against Villa and Emi next season, I guess... ha.

Just wait until VAR starts micro-second'ing the 8 second call.

"Let's go to VAR, Bob!"

"Oh, it looks like the ref blew the whistle at 7.92 seconds... VAR rules - NO CORNER!"

not sure how you’re missing the obvious point here.

i’ve been seeing headlines like this for weeks now, and i have a better question: when were we ever in the title race to begin with?

When it was announced Rodri would miss the season, I thought we have a real chance (disclaimer: I never wish injury on anyone).

Then our injuries started piling up, and Saka’s ended what little was left of a title race by that point.

First one is a fight in the middle of the pack, second one is tackling the last player to the goal with the ball from behind?  Do I win anything?

Woof, that Arsenal Chelsea game was a snoozer. It looked like both teams were trying to run out the clock for the last 30 minutes. Chelsea have spent so much money so poorly.

  • 2 weeks later...

This league is run by fucking jokers. 0.001% chance City (or Abramovich) ever get found guilty of anything.

EPL is back today.  three matches.

Arsenal/Fulham @ 1:45 (Peacock)

Wolves/West Ham @1:45 (USA)

Forrest/ManU @2:00 (Peacock)

title race and relegation spots are pretty much decided. only interesting battle now is European spots, especially Champions League. 4th through 10th place are separated by 5 points with 9 matches left (tho Newcastle has a match in hand).

Rashford FINALLY breaks his Premier League duck with Villa.

1-nil to the good guys in the 51st minute against BHA.

...and a Charlie Fox in front of the Villa goalmouth levels things at 55 minutes.

Update: VAR to the rescue with a handball called during the control.  No goal.  Villa still leads 1-nil.

I still hate VAR.
