May 10May 10 the entire last five minutes of this game has been played inside southampton’s box. this is insane. Edited May 10May 10 by Derka
May 11May 11 konate may have just saved arsenal’s bacon with that needless foul. arsenal would be tied for 4th with city, only one point ahead of chelsea and villa for champions league football, if konate doesn’t make that stupid foul. wow.

May 11May 11 Arsenal would've still been in 2nd if they had lost and 4 (really 5) clear of 6th. Not sure what NBC showed.

Hope this all turns out ok. I will say this a lot is lost in the mess that happened after the game and such. First off - this was a real and serious injury. Yes mistakes were made by the trainers, but in efforts to rush the game, they are expected to make snap decisions on important medical matters. They are put in undue pressure that just isn't helping anyone - as we see here it made things much worse. Second - It's been said over and over, when it's a clear off-sides RAISE THE DAMN FUCKING FLAG, so you don't risk injury in the run of play. That's the initial pass that starts the run. The sideline official would throw up the flag AFTER the play concluded (and Awoniyi hit the post). But he's a clear yard+ off-sides and the ref clearly sees this!!!! The play continues for 8-9 seconds running at full speed! We aren't even talking the resulting major medical issue Awoniyi is facing, it could have been a ripped up knee, a sprain, two guys colliding, etc - the risk of injury is real and it has consequences. Make clear an obvious calls, and don't put the players at undue risk.

May 15May 15 william saliba (24) being nominated for young player of the year, but MLS (18) not being nominated makes no sense.

It’s always guys like 23.9 year old Raheem Sterling/Phil Foden/Cole Palmer with 250 career appearances. Put some guardrails in place or get rid of the award.
May 16May 16 FINALLY! Konsa with a Charlie-Fox redirection in the 58th minute to keep Villa's CL hopes alive!
May 16May 16 United have lost 51% and won 27% of their league games Tottenham have lost 57% and won 29% of their league games
May 16May 16 United are likely to finish their league campaign with a total of 5 wins against teams that weren’t relegated. They should cut more stewards and kitchen staff to fund whatever stupid ass signing they have planned next.

May 18May 18 never seen an official have less control over a match. still waiting for the red card for the punch in the face.
May 18May 18 Newcastle is easily the most unlikable team in the Premier League. Team full of assholes. Not sure where to start. Thug Dan Burn, Bruno G(oon), diving Anthony Gordon, meathead Joelington, gambling Tonali. Just trash.

May 19May 19 Any websites you guys recommend for buying resale tickets? Landing in London on Sunday morning and would like to check out the City @ Fulham game. Possibly the Brighton at Spurs game (if Spurs win Europa).

Close. Actually 15 West Ham v. 18 Leicester - we just scrap this one and relegate Leicester. 16 Manu v. 17 Spurs - this gets played and we send the winner to the champions league. sounds about right.

May 21May 21 35 minutes ago, Firemans4Horn said: dont look at the first post in your new season thread on this board. it’s also really funny that you think that that gif applies to me, when you also believe that liverpool could have played without salah, vvd, mac allister, grabenberch, robertson, taa, konate, and jota for 3+ months apiece and still done better than arsenal did, which is the most batshit insane thing i’ve ever seen posted on this forum. talk about off-the-rails insane. lowest scoring champions since leicester and you still believe this. liverpool would be fighting with spurs and man u with those injuries, but yeah, you’re just the picture of objectivity lol.
May 21May 21 FURTHERMORE- both AFTV and even our own resident arsenal thread have been on the opposing side of me for years. the exact same way that i’ve been right about xhaka, havertz, shaka, quinn, ehlinger, GoT, ted lasso, rick & morty, etc etc etc, despite vociferous and indefatigable opposition by the masses, i invariably find myself in the very very very small minority, only to find myself once again proven correct when the dust settles. AFTV shouts that the sky is falling and want to sack arteta every time they speak. they are retards. that said, after 18-24 months under arteta even our own thread wanted to sack him, almost exclusively, except for me. i never wavered in believing in his project, and the club is now miles ahead of where it was when he took over. since then time has gone on, and now we all are incredibly thankful for mikel and his coaching and vision. i said that he needed more time and more of his own players, and i was right then, and im right now. the only difference this time around (as opposed to quinn, sam, GoT, etc), is that this time i’m the one person preaching future success, and not underachievement or failure. in all of those other cases people either laughed or lost their minds because i said, “player/coach/tv show ‘x’ is not as good as you think it is.” this time, unflinchingly, ive been steadfast in my support of arteta, and considering where arsenal was when he took over and where we are now, its frankly an indictment on your intelligence to act like he hasn’t done an outstanding job and been one of the best managers in europe during his time in charge. i have never been a blind optimist- far from it. i am a realist who only makes strong declarations when i’m well versed in what it is that i’m talking about, and time and time again i tell the masses they are wrong and i end up being proven right. you’d think people would learn, but they never do. at this point it’s wild to me that anyone still needs to see more from arteta to call him a success or a great manager, but i suppose it shouldn’t surprise me considering the people it’s coming from. you know who i mean- the people who crush arsenal for finishing 2nd in the epl and 3/4th in the CL with the worst injury record in the league, yet can’t find 1/10th of the criticism for any other club in the league, not even mighty spurs and man u. the same people who cream their pants because forest will finish 9th but who think Arsenal underachieved with half their squad missing. the same people who think that their club could suffer the same injuries and do better. yeah. those people. i would never out and out wish injury on any athlete who hasn’t raped or killed someone, but if the entire liverpool starting xi were to all tear their acls on the same day this september i would just be giddy with anticipation for their results going forward.
