December 20, 20241 yr And to the Silvo theme. He’s also called Crimson Jack by Maeby Owl.Which leads to speculation if it’s an Easter egg for a comic scoundrel from years ago or is it a “mantle” like the Dread Pirate Roberts
December 21, 20241 yr Jude Law is doing a great job. It’s good to have a skeptic/cynic back in the roster. Star Wars never really got that back after Han Solo in the OT.

December 25, 2024Dec 25 Who was the actress playing the host / guide on the planet? Jod’s take on not having any attachments is a fun twist on the Jedi dogma.

December 26, 2024Dec 26 Noice. My favorite one yet. hosttess chick showin a lil skin. Edited December 26, 2024Dec 26 by kingkoopa6
December 26, 2024Dec 26 Author You know why this show is great? Not everyone is just instantly great at everything they do. The kids are allowed to not be great at everything instantly like in Goonies or ET. Wim summoning up the courage to grab the lightsaber to try to save Fern but igniting it upside down was great. Also enjoyed the Goonies-type trap door on the food table. Reminded me of the organ scene. Jod also recites the line Qui-Gon says to Anakin when he's advising him before the pod race. Let your focus determine your reality. So yes, he's probably a former padawan who hid after Order 66. Edited December 26, 2024Dec 26 by mdmost
December 26, 2024Dec 26 Kelly Macdonald was unmistakable heh. This show is so good… half the episode is goonies and Peter Pan and treasure island and Jod being a hero-type.And then he finds his answers and the mood got real… real quick.Take notes Leslye Headland.
December 27, 2024Dec 27 Great episode. Robert Newton is somewhere smiling. Jude Law is a 10 out of 10 casting. Best Star Wars scoundrel since Han and Lando, and it’s not close. Spoiler Also, Holy Shit on the final scene. Edited December 27, 2024Dec 27 by billfromlaketravis

January 1Jan 1 Author Fun episode. Not as good as the previous one but still fun. 27 minutes though, WTF? They could've ran this one with the last one and had one super sized episode. The kids are doing a great job with this. The exoskeleton ship was a cool idea. Edited January 1Jan 1 by mdmost
January 1Jan 1 Grooving on the pirate trial. Werewolf captain snarling at the always great Jude Law and then… he’s interrupted by Kathleen Kennedy’s neighbor (?) to point out a FCC election law of equal time. WTF?
January 1Jan 1 This is just a fun show. Jude Law is perfect, and the kids are holding their own. Not too deep and just rolling along wanting me to see the next episode. Finally, Disney gets it right again

January 1Jan 1 Also. The new ship looks fuckin nice. im guessing original owner had it hiding in ugly clothes? I’m confused

Too short though of an episode. Still also loving this show. Neel whining about not having long legs was adorable.
January 3Jan 3 Most episodes of all these Star Wars Disney+ series seem to be about 10 minutes too short. We wait two years for the next installment, and get 6-8 short episodes. [exception IMO is Andor and a few Mandalorian episodes]

While I think some of the Neel cuteness can be on the nose, we all had a friend like him growing up. No athletic ability, but extremely loyal and a good friend. January 8Jan 8 Author Yes, a great cliffhanger. Will be interesting to see how the kids outsmart Jod. I stand by my assertion that the Supervisor is AI. I base this on the sequence where the ship returned and everyone was dismissed for the day. Seemed like an automatic response to the Republic emissary signal on the ship and not something a person would do. I don't think we've seen the last of 33.
January 8Jan 8 33 is the star Droid, no way he’s done. prolly gonna get fixed back to lookin like brand new
January 8Jan 8 Just started watching this last night with the kids, whole family is really loving it. We got to episode 4, will likely finish the rest tonight.

January 8Jan 8 Author They might be part of the Mando and Grogu movie that's shooting now or at least some characters from this show are rumors to be in the movie as well. Edited January 8Jan 8 by mdmost
January 8Jan 8 I'm sure these are dumb questions, but what timeframe are we looking at here? Post ROTJ right? Also are the citizens of At Attin clueless as to what had happened in the previous 30 years? My guess is that Silvo takes them and their parents back to the frigate while KB slips away and fixes 33 somehow. Mayhem ensues, kids escape while parents are held hostage.
January 8Jan 8 one more episode to go. A lot to tie up. Its been a solid series and I hope they can pull the ending off So many questions about Jod the "Jedi"

January 8Jan 8 Author The dad clued us and Wim in a bit last night when he said Wim would've learned all this after he reached the administrator level. I'm assuming only people in the higher levels of this society know what's really happened beyond the barrier. The rest may think the Old Republic still stands.

My guess is that nobody on that planet knows - hence why they're still minting old republic gold. They were just forgotten about and kept going about their business. When the Onyx Cinder showed up that was probably the first offloading ship they'd seen in 30 years. It definitely seemed like everyone was shocked to see it arrive.
January 8Jan 8 He did say graduation. And yeah, I think what Wim's dad said he would "learn" is still wildly outdated.
January 9Jan 9 Best episode yet. It absolutely flew by. I admit I was all ready to hate this show but it has been a fun watch.
January 9Jan 9 This is the type of show I expected Disney to make originally. Something kids could also identify with and get into.

January 9Jan 9 I like to crap all over it AND then still watch anyway. But I try to give credit where it’s due.
