Yeah, but *she* had a different role than Petersen would for Wilcox.  I think.

Harsin was also regaled as a raging asshole to the Auburn players.  Which is wild, given given their previous staff included Malzahn, Steele, and Chad Morris.  Of course, a couple of hundred dollar handshakes from Yellawood Man could make any player say just about anything.

Didn't Harsin have a "special assistant" at Auburn that was partially why he was fired?

To be clear, this was investigated thoroughly and they were both exonerated. Auburn insiders attempted to ruin both people in order to be able to fire Harsin for cause.

Auburn attempted to destroy a marriage, a friendship, and two lives so that they could attempt to find another coach on the cheap. The woman was guilty of being attractive and competent.

Perpetuating this kind of shit every time this dude comes up helps no one and aligns people who do it with pieces of shit at Auburn.

Look it up. Then stop doing shit like this.

Thanks for the clarification on the special assistant, stuff, @closetojumping My bad.

Was the "raging asshole" piece from all of the players also part of the character assault?  He has a reputation for being aloof.  Former subordinate of mine played with him at BSU and noted that he was extremely focused (which can also be misinterpreted for aloof).

People involved at Auburn went out of their way to ruin Harsin. They did this because he wouldn’t negotiate a soft exit after they moneywhipped him into the job and made a bunch of false promises. They turned on him overnight and they did everything they could to ruin him.

I am not a Harsin person. I know very little of him. I do know people who have been involved with Auburn over the years. That program is extremely evil. My reaction when someone reveals that they’re an Auburn fan is akin to that of when someone declares that they’re a Baylor or Penn State fan.

Fuck that place and its program’s existence.

I've mentioned this before, but in my entire career, I had two other professors tell me that they were pressured to pass a football player in their class.  Both were from Auburn.

That university is a bigger joke than LSU.

It's still insane to believe they fabricated that affair story to try and for cause Harsin.

Not if you start at "Auburn is a university that exists for the sole purpose of having a football program."

So my takeaway message from this is if you're going to coach at Auburn go ahead and fuck the married hotties because you're going to get framed for it anyway.

That’s like 80% of the secsecsec.

Nothing gains you more respect in this industry than having your daddy guarantee you a job. Maybe go out and earn it?

Anyone else getting Charlie Weis vibes from this statement?

This is psychotic and I love it for someone else's program so I can watch from afar.

I sure hope one of the top bullets is "get a hall-of-fame QB on a discounted contract so you can use that savings to help pay for an overall better OL and DL."

WVU really gonna hire Rich Rod?

Rich Rod back to WVU. Scott Frost back to UCF. Why not?

Let’s not get carried away.
Tom Herman back to Kendra Scott?

Don’t forget about Arkansas offensive coordinators.

Blah blah blah.  We should have focusness on whether Tashard is going to take a job somewhere.  He's due.

somewhere out there Herm Edwards is looking to file an intellectual property rights violation lawsuit

I'll be the first to predict that this will not work out.

It might work out especially since he's gonna bring in a new QB from the portal named Bom Trady.

Lots of Texas Longhorns coaches in here... hope Coach Choice stays at Texas.

2024 FootballScoop Coach of the Year finalists

Now in its 17th season, the FootballScoop Coach of the Year Program is the only coaching awards program where winners are selected by their fellow coaches.

Several of these finalist coaches will likely get new opportunities in 2025...

Money talks. Not the biggest fan of this move but if he can actually bring some excitement back to the program I'll be quick to forgive.

Not done yet, but...

Retread-a-palooza

Mullen was a fun announcer but a sleazebag HC. We'll see what he can do with the bag game out of the picture, but he got guys into school after being caught on video beating the shit out of a girl, so he'll find some way to work the edges.

Member when Harsin was a hot name and would revolutionize our offense?

That's honestly a pretty good gig. P4 conference - great location - not a ton of pressure. They played competent football at times this season.

I have contemplated your post for eleven days and concluded that RR is not a good institutional fit.
