Anyone have a good deal on tickets to the Cotton Bowl this year? Looking for 3 tickets to the game this year.

did we sell out our allotment this year? the last few years they were easy to get from the ticket office.

I don't think they've yet opened them up to GP (i.e. not sure if all sold or not), probably won't for a week or so.  Keep checking/posting here, that's how a buncha us got face value tix last year.

Face on ou this year is $140.

I bought six through the box office about a month, maybe six weeks, ago. Pretty sure face was $135 -- but it might've been $140.

Here's the original thread with passwords on Football. Might still be active.

Tired promo codes and it didn’t work. Stubhub are like $700, which is absurd.

I’ve gotten tickets in the past for OU through Texas box office with ease. Messaged them a couple of weeks ago and they said “due to the high demand” they aren’t doing it previously like they used too. She basically told me they’re already gone. Hopefully she’s lying.

Jesus...face on the 2006 National Title game was $175

Don't get them before me but past 2 years I've gotten 2 on the old site for face. 135

I bought through TexasSports awhile back (early/mid June?)......they were only available for like two days. Somebody had posted a promo code, otherwise you could not get through to get them. Pretty sure only going to find them through the ticket (scalper) sites now. They were $140 each.

They announced it was sold out already.

Youre better off waiting, especially since ou is going to be hit hard with injuries this year and their fans are going to dump their tickets on the cheap

But seriously wait

Yeah I need 2 tickets as well. And fuck sitting in dirt burglar territory.

It's crazy expensive right now, first time it's sold out in a few years at least. Definitely first time this early. At the very least, it;'ll be cheaper closer to the game as folks who have to unload on short notice sell closer to face. If/when one of the two purple bains of our existence beat us, prices will go down. Especially if it's another frustrating KSU loss the week immediately before. I'd wait.

Best time to get tickets is 2 weeks before the game but that's a huge risk. If we lose some games between today and the RRS then prices will go down and if both teams go into it undefeated then expect to pay 3x face value. Last year I got front row seats for $180 each. That ain't happening in 2008 or 2009.

What’s the cheapest y’all think they’ll go on stub hub? Saw some for 215. Not bad until the fees

They usually get lower the last week or 2.  If we lose to USC and TCU beforehand, you could probably sit on the sideline for $20, and call a couple of plays for an extra $10.

But if they beat USC & TCU, people could be jumping back on the bandwagon.

So I’m guessing between now and game time the tickets on stub hub won’t get any cheaper?

Not unless we lose to Kansas State

Yea I haven't spent over 300 for 2 tickets the past 3 years. Pretty sure that streak is ending this year

I have close family coming in, so went ahead and pulled the trigger for them, at today's prices.  A win vs. KSU and a good weather forecast....not only will prices not go down, but they'll go up.

I bought two on stubhub today for $158 apiece. "Well that's not so bad."

"Your total is $422."

"Oh."

Yea hate that shit. Bought 2 USC for 82 a piece. Ended up costing 240 I think

At least with SeatGeek, what you see is what you get.  Price probably ends up being the same at the bottom line, but the "per ticket price" shown when you search includes all the addon fees.

You have to specifically request for it to show with fees. You can do the same with the StubHub app. I also need 4, I won't expose anyone for selling to me, it can be our secret [emoji3][emoji3]

You'll give them a hug and lay them down gently?
