Probably not but I guarantee you there are some POLL moms complaining about it right now.

God, I'm afraid this South Korean team is going to bulldoze the US champion.

Those commie bastards. Saw the line ups, finished yard work, opened a beer, and we have a preseason football game on?

KSAT is showing it.

Championship baseball !    These kids are good,  very good.

World Championship Game

Korea vs Hawaii,  Sunday, 2PM, ABC

Hawaii pitcher with a 3 hit, complete game shutout. 15 of his 18 outs were strikeouts.

Yeah, that was one hell of a performance. Great catch by the head coach on the foul ball.

Congrats Hawaii.

Do the rest of us mainlanders proud tomorrow.

After shutting down South Korea in the top of the first, Hawaii takes the first pitch out for a 1-0 lead!

They need to test that catcher for Korea. I’d like to see how fast he can get out of his set.

Big boy at 5’5, 232lbs

These S. Korea hitters are at the very edge of the batters box. Amazed more of them aren’t hit.

Yes I was way off on my assessment, Hawaii came to play. Is baseball there the most popular sport? I believe a couple of teams from Hawaii have won in recent memory.

It is taken VERY seriously at the LL level there.  Year round, it’s rare to see an unoccupied ball field in the afternoons.  Kids are always playing and practicing.

Hawaii won in 2008 and lost in 2010 in the championship. They are definitely a LL powerhouse.

Congrats to   Hawaii  2018 LLWS Champions

Great pitching performance.     I was really impressed with Hawaii's plate discipline,  relaxed,  knew ump's zone and did not go outside the zone for bad pitches.

Hawaii pitching was otherworldly. Back to back shutouts against this competition is crazy.

Yeah, if winning the LLWS wasn't enough, back to back shutouts in the US championship and World Series championship games is amazing.

Hawaii is also a regular contender in the PONY League World Series. They won the PONY world Series a few years ago and placed 2nd a couple years before that.

Hawaii no ka oi!

I was surprised that a Honolulu team is this good.  The LLs are usually more stacked in the Ewa/Central area.

Polynesian Ties FTW!!!

The former president's home state. I'm guessing that he will travel to the island in the near future and meet the little kids.

That Hawaiian coach was also a bad ass. Did anyone see him snag the foul ball out of the air when he was the 3rd base coach yesterday?

I’m in Kona all week for the hurricane (yeah it wasn’t planned lol ). And even they are cheering for the Oahu boys. Great game

These kids are actually from Waipio area which made more sense to me.

Really impressed with how well schooled those Hawaii kids are in all aspects of the game.

=Two earned runs in the 5 games of the tournament. That kid that pitched today threw hard enough but his command was superb.

=Every at bat their kids competed. When most LLWS teams have one of their 4 foot 10, 87 pound kids at the plate you can pretty well assume they are overmatched and a strikeout will come quickly. Hawaii did not donate a single at bat all day today. Every kid that went to the plate had aggressive swings.

=Tremendous defense for the entire tournament. Routine plays really were routine. Tough plays were made to look a lot easier than they were

=They knew they were good but were not arrogant about it. It is easy to enjoy what you are doing when you are really good at it but they played the game with smiles on their faces even during tight moments/games

Congrats on a well earned title!!
