August 24, 20241 yr So, 2 donors. One is giving the most and the other person is contributing a smaller amount. Is there protocol/etiquette on what order the foundation is named? In other words Smith is giving 750,000 and Jones is giving 250,000. Is this the Smith/Jones Foundation or the Jones/Smith foundation? Or, my argument is it doesn't fucking matter. August 24, 20241 yr No clue, but would think it's much larger donation first with giving deference to them changing it if they preferred. (Name after someone else, etc or change order).
August 24, 20241 yr IMO depends on what they want out of starting the scholarship. If they want to name it after themselves it should be major donor first minor donor second If they are just funding one they should name it after the thing they are trying to fund/reason they are passionate about scholarships.
August 24, 20241 yr I vote for the “Port-a-Fundo Foundation” . Edited August 24, 20241 yr by Judge Roybeanbag

This. Pretty straightforward.
August 24, 20241 yr Is this a way to classify the cash you give to strippers as scholarship disbursements?
August 25, 20241 yr How about naming it after the first recipient? The HornOnTheBayou Junior Scholarship for Academic Achievement sounds great. And thanks again for the million bucks! We really appreciate it!

Smith doesn’t need Jones.
