Bond limited due to injury today.

D.Moore's availability today in doubt...

This needs to change for next week, let them heal up.

Dang... Sark obviously not happy w/tackle

Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian said Quinn Ewers sustained a hip drop tackle and the ankle started to tighten up on him. Was proud they were able to pivot and focus on the run game.

FKB

Steve Sarkisian said he was "optimistic" about the availability of LT Kelvin Banks and WR Isaiah Bond after their recovery from ankle injuries. "They're both improving, which is great for us. They're both showing great progress."

Dang 🙄

If there was any doubt, Texas WR Isaiah Bond is in sweats on field in pregame & not in uniform. Bond recovering from ankle injury #CFBPlayoff

Injury updates on Wisner, Cam, and Majors at beginning of this video...

Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian said Tre Wisner banged his knee and was available to return; Jake Majors was available to come back; they will get an MRI on Cam Williams' knee on Saturday night

Ended up not needing him. Shit, might not need him against Arizona St. Let him recover as long as possible.

MRI on Cam is concerning... hope he's ok even if he can't play vs Ariz State...  😬

100%.

We could've beaten Clemson without throwing anything more than 15 yards downfield, and that should be the same situation against AZ State.  Run the ball, play action pass to quick hitters in the middle of the field, and mix in some screens (but not the reverse ones that take 4 seconds and get Quinn hit, please).

Get to the semis with Quinn and Bond 100% healthy.  If we can do that, we've got as good a shot as anybody.

Really seems like Majors and Wisner were just precautionary, but we definitely need them both back. Snaps just weren’t as good without Majors.

Would hate to lose Cam Williams, we can probably get through ASU with Goosby, but will need him beyond that.

Wonder how much practice time the backup center gets?

Didn’t Conner slide over to replace Majors? If so, he gets lots of practice time, but it’s at left guard.

Well, that was what I was wondering. Because, he needs to practice snapping.

Amen to this. I’m so sick of seeing Quinn doing a slow motion pirouette and thinking,

“He’s about to throw an interception!

He’s about to get killed!

He’s about to get killed while he throws an interception!”

😅😅😬🙄🤘🏻

Williams reinjured himself trying to get on the field again. We'll miss him but at least Goosby doesn't seem as mistake-prone.

Source??

They mentioned the trainers took his helmet. Next time Texas had the ball, it he was out there. The commentators were actually arguing about him being out but on the field. It was weird. He was gone the next play.

The game. He came in for one play and left and never came back.

Doesn't mean Cam "reinjured himself" as Saty posted...

It was more like realizing he couldn't go than reinjuring himself.  Not a whole lot of healing went on in the interim

I am most concerned about the most important O lineman on the field….

Jake Majors

It looked like it could have been a concussion but never heard anything.

Sark said Majors could have gone back into the game if necessary.  Believe him.

If Stockton didn’t get a concussion when Makuba hit him, that wasn’t a concussion either.

Not saying I would believe someone that told me it wasn’t in either case.

RT Cam Williams’ knee is “not as serious as we thought.” Says Steve Sarkisian. Williams had an MRI on Sunday.

Texas HC Steve Sarkisian on OT Cam Williams: "Cam, not as serious as we thought. That was more of a precautionary MRI. We feel comfortable about that."

On a Peach Bowl conference call, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian says Cam Williams' injury is not as serious as thought Saturday night. Williams went for an MRI on Sunday. That would seem to indicate Texas' OL could be whole by the time Jan. 1 rolls around.
#Texas #Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian said of RT Cam Williams' MRI on his right knee: "Not as serious as we thought. That was more of a precautionary MRI, so we feel comfortable about that."
Steve Sarkisian said RT Cam Williams' knee injury was "not as serious as we thought so we feel comfortable about that."
Steve Sarkisian said that the MRI RT Cam Williams had on Saturday evening was precautionary and his knee injury is not as serious as initially feared. Sarkisian did not say anything about whether he expects Williams to play against Arizona State on New Year's Day in the Peach…

How’s Cam Williams’ knee I wonder?

Heard he had a MRI so it sounds catastrophic. Anyone have an update? If only we had a nurse hanging around we’d probably get the inside scoop.

Hold Cam and Bond out vs ASU. Wingo and Goosby might actually be better fits for the wide zone blocking scheme.

If they can play, they should play. It's the Playoff.

eh....I think at receiver it's best to get Bond back to full health before trotting them out there. Especially since he reinjured the same ankle.

I think if Cam can go he should go.

If they can rest and the replacements are good enough to produce and not get someone else hurt, let them rest.

I hope Wisner's knee is ok... damn he's patient at running outside zone.

Wisner only 27yds from 1k yards rushing...

Well that's good to hear. Thought both arms and legs would have to be amputated.

Texas right tackle Cameron Williams is unlikely to play today for the Longhorns, per ESPN sources. He’s dealing with a right knee sprain and has been limited. Look for redshirt freshman Trevor Goosby to get the start at right tackle. https://t.co/h5o72rhXzi
