Trying to hold them to a field goal here.

That’s the difference between a championship contender and a team that’s not ready for prime time. DeMeco will learn. Campbell has come a long way himself.

The biggest fail of last offseason was Slowik not getting a HC job. Fucked himself and the Texans.

A talking point all over twitter is "how do you lose to a team that has five interceptions" which ignores your own interceptions, and also that one was an end of half hail mary

Whatever

I feel better after this game than after any other game this year. We played with maybe the best team in the league without arguably 2/3 of our best players, and several other key players either missing the game or getting injured during the game

Houston looked like a legitimately dangerous team

Campbell also has a better roster than DeMeco does…

You shouldn't feel good about this game at all.

When you write the book report without reading the second half.

Yes I should

Houston played toe to toe with arguably the best team in the league without Nico and WAJ, both of whom would have made a difference

If Houston can hold up against Detroit without Nico and WAJ, they can potentially hold up against anyone with those two

That's disgusting.

You get 5 picks from Goff and a 16-point lead, and you lose.

Fuck everything.

I wanted to break my phone after sending the $200 I lost to pay my bet. Sorry brother I thought we were going to win

Yeah, but you must not remember how many terrible in-game coaching decisions Campbell made his first couple of years.

This game was much more promising than anything they've shown against real teams this year

No Nico and no WAJ (and eventually no Lassiter and no Fatusaki) against arguably the best team in the league, and they arguably outplayed them

You all can choose to be cunty bitches about this one, but I saw it in a different light

Slowik and Demeco deserve a lot of shit for losing this game. Inexcusable to lose a game when you force 5 turnovers.

They blew a 16 point halftime lead by giving up 19 unanswered points.

That's not going toe to toe. That's getting your face kicked in.

They lost by a field goal. That's not getting your face kicked in by any metric I'm aware of

They've looked like an average team for most of the season, even in wins. They demonstrated in this game that they can actually play at a higher level. With the division essentially locked up, that's what matters

10 points off 5 turnovers is pretty bad

Yeah, they just couldn’t score. It shouldn’t matter for the season’s sake (and making the playoffs), but it seems pretty bleak right now. Collins is going to make a huge impact when he gets back.

Started season with be. Johnson as the hot hc prospects for 25.  Slowik might get get fired mid season instead.

Bobby Slowik had a phenomenal debut in 2023, he brought the core principles of the Shanahan scheme alongside detail-oriented, focused gameplans built around protecting and insulating his rookie quarterback. His second act needed to be an evolution from protecting to elevating...

Good thread about Bobby not evolving and now we’re stuck.

Don’t post much about the Texans but that was brutal to watch. I see 11-6 record and if we get past the wild card we will lose in the next round. Rinse, repeat.

Houston should win three in a row (Dak-less Dallas, Tennessee, Trevor-less Jacksonville) going into the bye week, where they can then hit the reset button and heal up for the stretch run

This right here. Disappointing loss last night but Detroit is very good. 6-4 and in control of division and playoffs. Win the next three, use this time to continue improvement on OLine (4 sacks last night, need to be doing much better, still, but saw some improvement overall), and set our sights for the postseason.

Beating Detroit would have been fun, but win the 2 division games coming up in the next 3.

I had the +4, so I'll get paid.

I'd give the $ back for the god damned W, tho.
