Looks like we traded up 10 spots and threw back the 3rd rounder we got from the trade yesterday. Tate Rutledge would be a good pick.

Texans Trade:
🔴 58th pick
🔴 99th pick

We receive:
🔴 48th pick

Get another OL, Helm and a RB

Good pickup, I don't think he would have made it to 58. First OT of the 2nd round off the board.

Yep. There is a huge rankings gap between him and next highest OT. Had to do it. Yesterday fell poorly for Nick’s plans.

Jeez it feels pretty good to have someone that knows what they’re doing in that room.

But, damn Nick looked tired last night.

We weren’t taking another WR today

Edited by TonyTexas

If they like the Georgia C you could bounce Patterson out to G.

I would think about Skatabo here…

I’m a dumbass. It’s Jaylin Noel. Give us all of the Cyclone receivers

ill see who we take in 10 picks before making a decisions

That’s pretty cool, those dudes will do well together

We need OL but you can’t overdraft someone…WR was definitely a need.

Brandon Scherff’s still available….

Hutch and Metchie are are on serious notice. Noel was the Big 12 special teams POY as a returner.

I know a RT that we could use at guard

Those dudes will fucking compete, I realize Iowa State isn't the SEC, but don't be surprised when Metchie is gone and you have more guys who will scrap on the roster.

89/236 for 102/142 with Jax

Seems like a good trade

Caserio knows how to work the draft. His picks might not always hit but he can really move the pieces

Not sure I understand that one. Trading up for a guy who probably would have been available later and for a spot that isn't a huge need? Probably means he'll be a HOF but yeah...

and two big OT's with higher grades taken behind our CB pick

our db room was already full

Noel and Higgins are both absolute dogs.  Enjoy!  I was hoping like hell Noel would be a Viking

I'm giving Ryans & Caserio the benefit of the doubt with their track record but don't get that Smith pick at all.

We must feel GREAT about our existing OL guys under the new coach.

With a team that has established talent like ours, I don't see any purpose in drafting two 6th rounders and two 7th rounders.

Let's trade up into the 4th or 5th.

True - we need an OL and a TE. Not only do I think we will trade up, like you mentioned, I also think we will end up trading tor an established OL before the season starts.

Definitely a puzzling pick last night at CB when guys like Mbow, Cam Williams, and Logan Brown are all still available.

Sometimes I wonder if he suffers from Rube Goldberg syndrome….

He was playing really well pre-injury last year; nickel is definitely his best postion…

And he is Stroud’s carpool partner, and is an old soul. He might be a coach after his playing career. He might be the most emotionally stable, loyal man in the entire world.

This made me llol, thank you.

"what was accomplished in the end? Who knows! But it was very entertaining & confusing!"

Yeah the CB pick is puzzling, but most of all a waste of a pick at this point. This team has needs, CB depth could have been addressed later. There were a lot of other players I prefer.

4 picks in the top 100 this draft, and next year a first, two 2nd, two 3rd, two 4th and 14 overall picks. Pretty salty for a medium to long-term plan. Gonna need young guys to step up once CJ gets paid.

Did I miss the part of the CFB season where ISU had the best WR room in the country? I'm cool with the first one but the second one seems unnecessary after adding Christian Kirk. Should've taken like 3 OL by now

He's the Tank Dell replacement and Kirk is a one year deal right now.
