I take it Picard doesn't develop Irumodic Syndrome in this timeline.

His adopted Vulcan sister tracks him down with the cure.

Fat Riker warping in like the biggest swinging dick in the galaxy automatically makes this a good show.

It's not a bad way to go, if anyone is going to pay for content it is Star Trek fans.

it's not like they have a gf or wife to spend that money on

I would subscribe to CBS for this. Looks great.

7 of 9 AND Data? I’m in...looks like it’s about the borg.

Yeah at first I thought the kid was gonna be Data's daughter.  But this looks all Borg.  And that's cool.

Yeah that looks really good.  And once Discovery found it's footing it got really good too.

Love what I'm seeing from these shows.

I'm sure I'll watch it. Give me more exploring interesting and different worlds over the actiony shit, but I know I'm pretty much alone in that thought.

Look, I wasn't a trekkie.  But I watched a ton of TNG, because there weren't many choices back then! It was either that or study.

Regardless of fan level, that is how you do a trailer.

Troi and Riker confirmed in as well.

Out. I will continue assuming they died at the end of Enterprise in a holodeck explosion, which is a better death than they deserve.

How's Deanna looking these days?

Like she’s 64

64 and she hits the gym and has regular high-grade cosmetic surgery upgrades? Or 64 like she's just regular 64?

I see I can subscribe to CBS All Access through Amazon Prime.  Is there any advantage to doing this, over going straight to CBS?

One less app to track?

Five minutes in and it's pretty good. They definitely aren't sparing production expenses.

Can’t wait to put this on after the kid heads to bed!

All the way in. And not ejecting. This is good shit

Pretty solid opener, much grittier and darker tones than I thought, so I like where it's headed.

It's a Hitchcock mystery thriller with a super-hero angle, movie-level production and just enough call-back to TNG, and no indication of a Barkley or Crusher.  Not sure what more we could hope for.

Between Disco season 2 and this, CBS can shut up and take my money

Thought it was great.  Cast was great.  Effects solid.  I’m in for the season

Those of you who subscribed in the past, go to the CBS site, and plug in JANUARY in the discount code area or whatever, and you should get a free month.

Confirmed it worked. Clutch

Spoiler

Bruce Maddox (season 2 of TNG) will be returning   The actor who played him isn’t busy, so maybe he’s coming back

I thought it was great. Definitely “modern” and not very Star Trek-ish.

Although admittedly it could have been 45 minutes of Patrick Stewart picking grapes and I would have enjoyed it.

Fans of the old "bubbly" Trek are gonna struggle with it.

Oh yeah, there is a huge online Trek community on Twitter and especially YouTube that absolutely HATES everything current Trek.  Won't even give it a chance.  I mean I know Discovery started wobbly.  But the 2nd half of season 1, and all of season 2, plus the Short Treks, are all great.  This episode was awesome too.

I watched episode one yesterday and finished rewatching it again just now. So far, there are so many things to love about this new series. As much as I like to binge watch certain shows... some programs needs to be digested. This is one of those shows.
