Alabama's LB Yhonzae Pierre (6 tackles 5 solo and 3 sacks - earned) and DB Zabien Brown (1 INT and a 100 yard TD return - weak af) got SEC players of the week (yes, it's weak af to leave off Simmons). Summons - 4 tackles 3 sacks 3 tackles for loss 1 forced fumble - robbed Edited October 20Oct 20 by William Bludworth
October 20Oct 20 He got credit for a forced fumble Had a forced fumble on a sack, had one when he was in coverage too. They reviewed the play to see if it was a catch I think. It was the play he looked like he was punching the guy in the back.

November 2Nov 2 If Collin Simmons stays healthy/keeps this up, he's going to be an all-time great at Texas.
November 4Nov 4 He is too 8 in the nation in sacks with eight, correct? I know an A&M player has like 9 (I can't remember who), but they've been against the sisters of the poor. Texas leads the nation in sacks with 34. Simmons hasn't even leveled up yet. He will feast on Arky and Aggy for sure, and I'm sure he will have at least one sack against UGA. Honestly, I'm just glad he has help with Burke taking the next step so teams can't just focus on Simmons.

November 4Nov 4 Author if the officials actually called holding simmons would have an even more freakish impact. o linemen have been getting away with murder on him. he’s at the point where if he isn’t double or triple teamed they pretty much have to hold him to stop him. he’s a sergio kindle, brian orakpo level demon with the pass rush.

He’s better than those guys and that’s crazy to say.
November 4Nov 4 His stats are especially insane when you consider that he's really only been playing at this level for the past 6 games. He was sort of MIA the first few games this season.

Had he been doing what he's doing right now, he would have probably 15-16 sacks, but it's moot at this point. I'm just glad he's back to his old form. We better enjoy he and Ant Hill for the rest of the season and Simmons next, because they're top 5-10 picks with absolute certainty. Hopefully Atkinson can come in and make an impact like Hill day 1.

Wager $50 on hill being top 10 pick when he goes in the draft?

November 4Nov 4 I love Simmons. He’s one of the most impactful DE’s in Texas history. DE’s that really stood out for me while watching games through the years were Brackens, Dronett, and Orakpo, among others. Simmons is right up there with them. I do think his pro prospects might have some question marks however. His size may make him a bit of a tweener. .

November 4Nov 4 7 minutes ago, BurntOrange&White said: He’s bigger than Parsons What do mean "bigger"? I'm honestly asking because Parson's is 250lbs of solid muscle, while Simmons is 240 and still filling out. Once Simmons gets to the league, yeah, I expect him to probably get closer to Myles Garrett in weight (not quite 270, but closer to 260-ish). He's a big kid, but if you look at him and look at Parson's, there's just a massive difference in weight and frame. But like I said, he'll be bigger once he gets into an NFL weight and conditioning program.
November 4Nov 4 10 minutes ago, South Austin said: Right. Orakpo was relatively lanky as a redshirt freshman in 2005. By the time he was a junior he was jacked. And he got even bigger in the NFL. Their weight and conditioning in the pros moves around your muscles differently than what they do in college due to it being 265 days a year of training if they're smart. They only have so much time in college, obviously. Michael Griffin was pretty jacked in college, but once he was put in an NFL S/C, he looked insane as a pro. Same for Earl Thomas, who as a RS-SO and a rookie, was lanky af, but he got jacked. Edited November 4Nov 4 by William Bludworth
