Lots of blame to go around here. Sadly, most of it will be given to the cop that forgot to turn off his body camera.

Holy shit. I'm not exactly a Tyreek fan and was expecting him to come out looking poorly here.

Nope, shoulda known better.

Seems like yet another gross overreaction from those ostensibly employed to "protect and serve."

I’ll admit that given Hill’s reputation I was expecting some justification for the officer’s actions. But nope.

Just like cops have been doing for 50 years, their trick is to just yell “stop resisting” while they forcibly take you to the ground while you were attempting to comply with their directive. It is a taught technique and I was once on the receiving end of that bullshit.

I would like to see this bullshit training exposed once and for all. By definition, it is IMPOSSIBLE to comply with an officers directive if they’ve already starting pulling you down to the ground. They purposely don’t give you any time at all to respond to the directive. Sue the fucks.

i believe it was a nothing burger stop even though they were already irritated after being told by the NFL star to quit knocking on his window like that...but rolling it back up in their face was enough to activate the power trip.

both sides made a mountain out of an ant hill, could've been avoided had tyreek answered why he didnt have a seatbelt on and had his window down

He doesn’t have to answer that question.

It could’ve been avoided if the cops had written a ticket and sent him on his way.

But nothing justifies how quickly that one small-dick-energy prick was to get physical with Tyreek (TWICE!) and how he later rolled in hot on the two guys in the SUV, talking over his own partner with conflicting instructions. Peace officers absolutely should be held to a higher standard. This was well below that.

Not that he needs it, but he is getting paid.

Tyreek has no obligation to talk to him.

Granted, I don’t know Florida law, but I’m guessing “disrespect” and “attitude” aren’t illegal or a reason to cuff someone.

Again, nothing Tyreek said or did merits the use of physical force even once, let alone twice. Attitude and disrespect are not justification to yank someone out of a car and arrest them.

If that's the world you want to live in, your choice, but please stop responding to me because I want no part of it. Go advocate your terrible take with someone else.

Go fuck yourself you bootlicking piece of shit. Nothing about that was justified. That was an extreme violation of rights.

I hear this every time something like this happens, and yet the departments end up admitting that policy had been violated and settling with the victim. Weird.

so as i far as i can tell TH never turns off the fucking supercar he is driving. but , the window up is the deal breaker ? seems odd .

Your interpretation of this video exposes that you have a naive and misguided perspective, most likely shaped by the fact that you haven’t been on the receiving end of officer misconduct and/or are white.

Because if you had experienced it, this video would show exactly how they escalate inappropriately on purpose.

calm down tough guy. Your tired insult is empty and didnt hurt my feelings. Tyreek "not talking" because of a stupid ass seat belt question is on his own doing. Hm yea if he was a wanted murder suspect, yea maybe not talk. a simple moving violation? answer the stupid fucking question.

Every fuckin time it’s some yahoo creating the controversial situation which causes the cops antenna to go up. I ain’t got no drivers license, nah that ain’t marijuana brah, etc. Just act like an adult and you’ll be outta there.

Now the cop haters will neg me but fuck ‘em. But many cops push it too far, no doubt, but Tyreeeeek created a lot of this himself.

The constitution views a moving violation the exact same as a murder. He was under no obligation to answer that question. And it did not entitle the officer to abuse his authority and physically attack him. Fucking pathetic that anyone would defend that.

Yeah, if you ain't kissing the officer's ass from the moment he rolls up, you start getting stick with cops these days.  Rolling your window back up and shit?  Reek is lucky they didn't shoot his ass.

Notice the hand tats on Officer Little Dick in the video when he's helping cuff Reek.  The police in this country are an armed gang.  The Feds literally track the crazy amount of police gangs in large metro areas, like with the LAPD.  If you ever have to interact with the cops, the best you can do is yessir, nossir them and GTFO of there as quick as you can.

youre right. he doesnt have to answer the question. Him telling the cop to go back and write him a ticket is basically saying hes guilty. still dont understand why he cant just keep his window down.

I'm absolutely not a cop hater. I don't subscribe to the "all cops are bad" mantra.

But the pot-bellied idiot in that video is absolutely a bad cop. His first and only answer to _any_ comment or action he doesn't like is to get physical. He is ill-tempered, abusive and officious.

As for Tyreek's behavior, would you extend the same logic to your own children? If they said or did something you didn't like, would the best and, really, only solution in your eyes be to immediately escalate to a physical response?

Dear god, I hope not. But that's exactly what that cop did. Criticize Tyreek for being a shit all you want--he's already proven that--but please don't defend that officer. His actions are inexcusable.

No. Saying nothing is the opposite of saying he’s guilty. You don’t plead your case on the side of the fucking road.

Still don’t understand why the “trained and professional peace officer” acted like an authoritarian sociopath. Against multiple drivers.

Tyreek handled this perfectly.

Who’s claiming that?

My claim is that nothing he did justified being forcefully pulled from the car, put face down on the pavement, and cuffed. Do you think he did something to justify that? What, exactly?

he rolled it up to start calling someone.  he's saying he is getting arrested with the phone on the ground to whomever he called.

I hate seat belt laws.  they are stupid and just another reason for cops to pull you over.  that said, I had the same thing happen to me on 183.  Got pulled over for a seat belt, cop asked me why, I said i don't know.  handed him my license and he wrote me a ticket and i went on my way.  had I started to give him attitude, start calling someone and roll up the window in his face my guess is it would have ended up differently.

I realize he doesn't have to answer the question and he could say I'd rather not answer that.  I know they ask so if you say I don't know you are acknowledging you didn't have your seatbelt on if it goes to court.  just keep your window down and don't say anything.

agree that the cops could have had money on the Jags or his fantasy opponent had tyreek.

This is fuckin karma for Hill, but yeah, the cops are outta line

Yes that cop appears to be one of the bad ones and should be disciplined/fired, but so many of these situations never even need to happen. Especially knowing there are shitty police officers, just like there are many shitty people. No doubt there needs to be serious reform

Guys, guys relax.

I know that when I go into a coffee shop and don't treat the barista with the appropriate reverence, I should expect them to throw hot coffee in my face.

When I leave my trash bins too far from the curb, and don't apologize with enough humility, I should expect the garbage man to physically assault me.

It's no different with police and I'm not sure why this is hard to understand.
