They absolutely could’ve and should’ve checked her on the Charlottesville comment, but it’s been part of the democrat greatest hits list for goin on a decade now. And trump hasn’t exactly helped himself by generally being a piece of shit and crowing racist bs. If you can excuse the twitter acct and sit through the video, here it is making clarifying point he is not referring to the neo nazis/kkk’rs that were there

Yeah, ok. He just implements most of the Heritage Foundation's policies, the vast majority of the people involved in Project 2025 served in his last adminstration (here's a second link if you want to confirm), Vance wrote the foreword for their book, Trump's name is all over Project 2025, but sure, other than that, he has nothing to do with it.

But in April 2022, Trump shared a 45-minute private flight with Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, according to people familiar with the trip, plane-tracking data and a photograph from on board the plane, which has not been previously reported. They flew together to a Heritage conference where Trump delivered a keynote address that gestured to Heritage’s forthcoming policy proposals.

They’re going to lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do,” Trump said in the speech.

Is this really happening right now?  People are trying to refute Project 2025 and the Charlottesville "both sides" thing?

Yeah, I read that whole article.  His quotes do not back up the "false" claim, unless you are unable to think critically.

Which is utter and complete bullshit. It was a rally being thrown by white supremacist. There were no fine people there on the racists side of things. Everyone there came at the behest of the f'ing white supremacist. You don't just wake up one day and decide to go to what was basically klan rally and get to be considered a "fine" person.

Man, you're right. Trump wasn't exactly both sidesing Neo Nazis, he just lunches with them when they come to Mira Lago like Nick Fuentes. I guess she could've brought that up and it would pass bluto's fact check requirement.

That's just letting Trump get away with his game. The fine people he was talking about were white supremacists simply as a matter of fact. While he didn't expressly say that white supremacists were fine people, that's exactly what he met and what was understood by those very groups.

Those are journalists moderating that debate. When one candidate says that democrats want to kill babies after they are born, it is their responsibility to knock that shit down. When one candidate falsely claims that he won a presidential election that he in reality lost, they need to correct that in real time.

Again, why should ABC have pushed back on her comment? She was absolutely correct. I don't care that someone can make up bullshit to excuse Trump. There is zero reason not to attack Trump for the horrible things he does and says. The fact that someone can make up bullshit to defend it is irrelevant.

I literally fucking don't care, this is 2024, where half the country supports a person who literally cannot speak without lying. Everything, and I mean every fucking word that comes out of his mouth is a lie. When fighting back against that piece of shit I don't fucking care if something is kinda sorta maybe a little misleading.

Trump absolutely called them very fine people. People continue to pretend that he was somehow taken out of context. He wasn’t. Read the full quote, or watch it, and it’s 100% clear what he’s saying.

My favorite thing is when Trump says something so batshit insane that any normal person would be immediately fired from their job and escorted out of the building, and MAGA heads and Both Sides people some how twist it into a perfectly normal thing and somehow Democrats and the MSM are totally at fault.

Just try talking up some white supremacy at the mandatory office lunch and see how long before Clarence from security walks into the conference room with an empty box.

My thoughts on the debate:

1. Kamala was way better than I thought she would be. I think the debate DEFINITELY got the Democrats fired up.

2. Trump had his Trump moments, but I thought he didn't look as good/polished as Kamala. Seemed more unprepared. Kamala let him ramble and I think it backfired.

3. It was very apparent that ABC was hitting Trump harder with follow-up questions/questioning his comments etc. Kamala said several things that they could have hit back on but they didn't. (Project 2025, Charlottesville; etc)

4. There is NO WAY undecided voters watch these debates and then make up their minds. Right?! These are just primetime shows done for entertainment value IMO. Our country is so divided I think 95% of people have made up their mind already.

CNN.com had a tally of 33+ lies/mistruths for Trump and 1+ for Kamala. I think ABC moderators fact-checked him in real time three fucking times. Three.

So the argument is that not everyone there protesting the statues being taken down were tiki torch carrying nazis? And when he said some were fine people, he was talking about the ones not carrying the torches? Well, seems like a stretch, but whatever. He's certainly done/said 100000 worse things anyway.

Correct.  The Fox News complaint is that it is taken out of context and the fine people were just the less overt racists.  It's ridiculous that they think leaving off the next part of the clip makes it any better.

I am confused by a few things in this post. I will go over them individually.

It bothers me that she did better than people expected her to. I wonder what motivates that thought? She is a career courtroom lawyer performing in what is almost a courtroom setting. The studying and prep. The strategy to rattle the opponent or witness. Selling herself to the American people or jury. I have been saying she is going to wipe the floor with him and she did exactly what I expected her to. This isn't a politician with a law degree, this is a lawyer turned politician. No one should be surprised. "I can't believe Quinn Ewers threw a football", is what this equates to.

What was ABC supposed to do when Trump stated people were eating animals, killing babies post birth, and saying the election was stolen from him? The Charlottesville comments were dog-whistling, and I am an expert on that because that technique was built on the backs of black people like me. But if you need proof of those comments being dog-whistles look at what happened shortly thereafter. All the Supremacist groups immediately joined MAGA and have remained with him ever since. That is all you need to know. Since then he has made many other comments including his direct orders to the Proud Boys.

Now onto this project 2025 thing. It is not hard to attach Trump to project 2025 if you took the time to crack it's pages. Here are things Trump has done, tried to do, or talked about doing that align with the plans in Project 2025.

Turning over Roe

Mass Deportation of Illegals

Eliminating the Dept of Education

Eliminating subsidies for electric vehicles

Attacking DEI

Pulling out of the Paris Accords

Still not convinced yet? Trump said he knows nothing about project 2025 and doesn't know anyone over there. 140 Trump advisors and aides had a hand in writing it. JD Vance wrote the forward. Here is a picture of Trump on a plane with Kevin Roberts, the author of Project 2025. There are other pics if you just took the time to look.

Trump-and-Kevin-Roberts-1024x768.thumb.jpeg.e6cddb46107a19ac902e69c636a64bbd.jpeg

Still not convinced? Here is hidden video some journalists did where Russell Vought, co-author of Project 2025 is explaining Trump distancing himself from it.

Still not convinced? Here is Trump talking about how the good people at The Heritage Foundation have a detailed plan for how they are going to go forward(video on the right}. He doesn't name it by name but you know what this means right?

So now we have the alignment of Trump policies. Many people from Trump's camp involved in the writing. His VP candidate writing the forward. Pictures of him meeting the author. The other author telling you why Trump is distancing himself from the project UNTIL they get in office. Then finally Trump praising the Heritage Foundation for its detailed plan for the future. If you STILL are trying to say he doesn't know anything about it you are simply a bad actor and flat out MAGA. We see you no matter how hard you try to "both sides".

Let's play that last part out.  If MAGA says he doesn't know what it is then either he is the stupidest person alive with all the connections you laid out or everyone around him is lying to him.

There is no document more tailored made for creating a dictatorship than project 2025. It lays out specifically bow it will end democracy. They only reason I believe the lie that Trump ever read it is because he is a lazy fat fuck that can only digest tweets not a manual.

But rest assured that tome was written specifically from him he ordered his underlings to plan out ahead how to proceed in a future Trump dictatorship.
