Since you brought up the Wire, my vote for shittiest casting goes to this ol' college cut havin' ass bitch. Every scene with her and Daniels I'd swear he was talking to his mom.

Tom Cruise as Jack Racher. Just...no.

Yeah that second one is kinda hard to argue with.

What was the one with the ridiculous Asian stereotype?  Breakfast at Tiffanys?  (It’s early in the morning, head thinking sponge not work good)

I know.  we’re having fun.

Tom Cruise as Jack Racher. Just...no.
So disappointed they casted an actor that is a foot shorter than Reacher.

Any movie with Shia Labouf as a Soldier/ Marine.

Collin Farrell in Alexander is laughably bad

Jake Llloyd and Hayden Christiansen....obviously

A Majority of One with Sir Alec Guinness, as Koichi Asano, a fine Japanese businessman.

Koichi Asano : The hardest word in the English language is "rorripop"

Psst. It’s not Michael J Fox.

It looked kind of different but I didn't want to be the one to say it, and then be completely wrong.

No worries, he shook it off.

Same accent as Robin Hood, Elliot Ness, and Tin Cup... impressive!

I do have to admit to Costner's Robin Hood being a guilty pleasures of mine, though. I'll watch it almost any time it's on.

Hayden Christiansen is the runaway winner of all time

I'm not defending him or his acting in those movies but no-one could have made that character work.  The writing was horrible.

I'm a sucker for Costner and also will admit this movie is a guilty pleasure.  BUT if you want to hear a true butchering of an accent check out his work in Thirteen Days (another movie I love despite some of the liberties it takes with history and well.... the worst Boston accent of all time)

Russell Crowe as Robin Hood was also uninspiring. I think for this one it’s too easy to use bad actors as examples (Sofia Coppola in GFiii), but it’s when good actors can’t do anything that it’s really bad.

I didn't remember that Costner was even in that.  It is a pretty entertaining flick.  Surprised that whole deal hasn't been mined more for film.

I am, too. He’s been in a lot of pure crap, but also has starred in two of the best sports movies ever (Bull Durham and Field of Dreams), the greatest Texas movie of all time (Fandango), an underrated D.C. thriller (No Way Out), and a fantastic but admittedly self-indulgent Western epic (Dances With Wolves). Shit, I even loved that sappy as fuck For The Love Of The Game.

I’ll always give him a pass for Robin Hood.

Love that movie.

Waterworld is a guilty pleasure or mine when it comes to Costner movies.

and from the other side of the country...

magnumpi_112365_0447b2-h_2018.jpg

Elijah Wood as Frodo

Hugo Weaving as Elrond

Billy Crystal in When Harry Met Sally. Yes it was funny, but no effing way he bags Meg Ryan.

Collin Farrell in Alexander is laughably bad

Hayden Christiansen is so wooden he is an affront to puppets everywhere...

John Goodman as Babe Ruth.

Tom Cruise as a D1 linebacker in All the Right Moves.

Tom Berenger as Bear Bryant.
