Something that is underrated right now. Mike's call to have the runner steal second during the intentional walk. It would've been easy to just leave her at first...Reese is being walked anyway, what's

Holly Rowe : what pitch do you throw for the third strike?

Canaday : one 6 inches off the plate baby, ump giving me that call like Lionel Ritchie… allll night long.

This is where we probably get screwed by shitass Oklahoma and their shitass weather and tomorrow gets rained out and pushed to Saturday afternoon nullifying our advantage of having Teagan fresh

Didn't play clean enough, to put it mildly. We really hit the ball better than they did, but so sloppy late. Didn't like seeing Cit in a tight spot.

Hey, the game 1 winner wins the series 79% of the time.
Anyone know the percentage for the second game winner if its their first win?

21%

Gave her that outside strike twice in a row, of course she's going to swing at that last pitch.

Exactly. Umpiring dictated that at bat.

doesn’t matter. Her arm is spaghetti. No fucking way she does shit tomorrow. If we see her.

See ya tomorrow. Poorly managed game by White. If you start Kavan this is probably a win. The good news is we are definitely seeing Canady better and I think we can score 4 or 5 runs tomorrow.

Errors beat us tonight….we survived with the errors yesterday…..

Eh, I feel like White was coaching like he had house money. I don’t agree with it, but he must feel confident with our chances with a semi rested Kavan vs a hopefully tired Canady. We hit her better today, but need that dog mentality all game tomorrow. Felt the team let up with these BS coaching moves.

If we win tomorrow it will be in spite of MW.  The dude is so unclutch.

I deadass think he should be fired if we lose this series. He clearly gave this game away with his bad decisions. If cant win it this year, he will never get it done and we need to get someone in here who can.

Yeah. I agree with this

This should have been so easy a caveman could do it.

1.  Start your best pitcher

2.  Don't ever pitch to their best hitter.  They don't have much else

3.  DH your best hitter who doesn't play a position.

duh

Id love to see what a robot ump would've called the first 2 pitches of that last at bat.  Those didn't look close but maybe it was the camer angle?

They werent close imo

That broadcaster chick just said that Oklahoma City is the center of the Sports Universe.

Tbf at this exact one moment in time it is. Other than the college baseball super regionals and the WGAF part of the MLB season the only things on are this WCWS and the NBA finals. Both in OKC.

White should have brought Kavan in around the 4th or 5th inning. It was obvious we were seeing Canady better and some runs were coming. It was time to chase the title then and this series would be over if he did that.

I still like our chances tomorrow despite White. Kavan has only given up 1 earned run in 22 innings to Tech all year and she's rested. It's also our 3rd day in a row seeing Canady so I believe we can score 4 or 5 runs on her tomorrow.

That could have been the right play. That's worthy of second guessing.

you can never feel confident when the other team has the better pitcher.  Kavan is wonderful, but Canady is a clear tier above her.  We have the much better lineup, but you simply cannot manage Game 2 from the vantage point of feeling confident of your chances in Game 3.  Too much variance can happen in any game.  You play each game to win.  White treated this game like a midweek directional school game.

White knows about pitcher’s arms and their capabilities, I’m guessing….if Canady is Superwoman, then we are in trouble.

#12041

I hate using the phrase “being due” but it also seems like that was the case here. Beating a team like tech and that pitcher 4 straight times, it just feels like that’s not very high on the probability scale.

It sucks to lose, but I feel good about tomorrow for some reason until one of the softball posters tells me not to.

#12045

such shit the ump as giving her those pitches.  just fucking ridiculous.  every one of those pitches was a ball 2 innings ago.
