Something that is underrated right now. Mike's call to have the runner steal second during the intentional walk. It would've been easy to just leave her at first...Reese is being walked anyway, what's

Hope they find their bats before first pitch....  I'd like see our girls whip these Sooners pretty good this weekend.

Looking at you, Stewie.  Ashton, Kayden, Mia, Reese, Joley - you can be trusted.

Anything we get from Leighann, KC and Kaydee is just extra.

If the coaches haven’t drilled it into them by now …

Not sure Singleton knows what one is....

Is it that 9 girls who have been playing for most of their lives have no idea or the 1 guy who teaches/coaches/instructs them has no clue?

I humbly apologize for asserting there’s a degree of coaching involved.  But then, some of the lineups we’ve seen lately should have alerted me sooner … mea culpa.

In their defense, a good changeup is arguably the hardest pitch to hit/layoff in softball/baseball.  The rub is that this team gets flummoxed by even the shittiest of changeups that you can spot easily, and has for years. I remember one game, last year maybe (against UCF?), where every other pitch, regardless of count, was a floaty, meatball changeup right over the plate.  We either watched it drop in or swung out of our shoes.

Also both TK and Cit throw legit changeups and your HC can simulate basically any pitch.  It's quite worrisome that they can't recognize them

Forget recognition and adjustment.

At this point, I'd be happy with - and stick with me here - an in-game adjustment where we just sit changeup against pitchers that are throwing it a lot.  Just look for changeup speed only and let everything else go past.  A couple of HRs will discourage teams from being so changeup happy against us. But it's like our coach missed that day of JV-2 baseball.

As expected, TK vs Landry

Mike sticks with the Stewie and Goode MIF, Katie C at first, Mitchell DP, Bennett in LF

Also the OU live stats are using #4 Texas and #3 OU lol

Pretty sure the opposing pitcher’s pitches are being tracked and we are looking for sequences and/or placement of the pitches based on our hitters weakness.   We then try to guess what the next pitch will be….of course, OU is adjusting as they go as well.  And of course, pitchers can’t  always throw it where they would like.  Hopefully, MW and he’s crew figure out OU.  TK and our staff did a masterful job last year in Austin in moving the ball around and out-guessing the OU batters…I’d settle for 2/3 on the W column.  OU ain’t  gonna be easy to beat in their house…..it’ll be full to the max.

We have no reason to come into this intimidated. It’s not the old OU team. It’s all new faces who aren’t as good as 2021-2024. In the circle and at the plate

Basically the entire team for Texas is back from winning 2/3 in Austin and are mad about the WCWS outcome

Double and walk, TK got to get herself out of trouble

I would expect when you damn near pitch all the games teams pickup your tendencies. Seen this coming.
wish Mia would’ve went home there.

I loathe these run slap hitters.  I wish they would never recruit or allow another one to do it.

Bennett is awful, ABs are just a waste.  Can't swing away, can't bunt, can't draw a walk, can't make contact.

Not good, they are hitting the ball hard against Teagan

We know they can hit. They’ve always been able to hit

But we have to hit too. Or else somebody gotta go
