Something that is underrated right now. Mike's call to have the runner steal second during the intentional walk. It would've been easy to just leave her at first...Reese is being walked anyway, what's

This OU game might be over quickly with the way LSU is walking Sooners.

Only the 1 given up but yeah. Either every pitcher shits the bed against against them or….

So far, Berzon is doing her job (1 hit allowed and 1 run on a HBP), but LSU has not figured out Landry at all (being no hit through 4)

Landry is bae, even if she is a sooner.

You like the nerdy librarian look, eh?

Even though Gasso looks like the gym teacher off scary movie,  she can coach her ass off. For OU to lose all that talent and still be able to be this good is crazy!!

This is over, LSU just needs to try not to be no-hit lol

And the broadcast yesterday (not even during an OU game) were saying Gasso felt "rejuvenated" that she got to coach again.  Her four-peat team basically coached itself, she was just a manager.

OU moves on, 4-1, over LSU

LSU got 1-hit.  Not going to be a good look for Beth there.

I also am curious how effective Lopez will be.

I know softball pitchers can pitch multiple days, easily, but Lopez did throw 98 against Missouri on Tuesday and 101 against Florida yesterday.   You could tell she was a little more fatigued yesterday (5 walks and 2 wild pitches in 4.1 IP).  Not only that, she started, went to the dugout and then came back in yesterday.

Will be about 80 degrees at gametime with 50% humidity

She also appeared to be wearing sports tape on her pitching elbow. I am guessing she has some soreness.

Texas also knows Binford well, she pitched at Baylor prior; Texas has faced her quite a bit

Arkansas found out how to make contact with Pickens

To be fair, I don’t think they had much trouble with her in the regular season series they won 2-1

To be fair, lots of teams hit her.....just not us. She has a tendency to overthrow which affects her control and takes some spin off her other pitches. Texas chased her rise ball all weekend which ended up exactly how one would think it would.

This should be a great game. Seeing how Gasso approaches the beast that is Bri Ellis will be entertaining. She is the best player in the country and it isn't close.

Here’s to getting the swc invitational superfecta.

I was most disappointed in our slappers in that series. Their inability to put the ball in play and force Tenn to play defense really hurt us.

The SWC...it just meant more.

Canady and Tech vs Baylor, 4th inn, no score on ESPN+ if interested before our game.

Bri Ellis + Courtney Day against either Landry (on back to back days) or Deal.

"so Oklahoma and Texas didn't offer?  Come to OK St where you can beat them for the conference cham....oh wait".

Looks like ole Miss is going with Miali Guachino (3.10 ERA)

TK going for Texas. Staying with the Goode/Stewie MIF and Hunter at DP

hopefully the rest is really good for TK.  I don't think multiple days off, while the other team is playing, are ever much good for hitting.  Let's hope we bring the bats.

I've been working in the yard 80 miles NW of Athens this afternoon and can confirm it's not a dry heat.

I agree - Ole Miss has been playing for 2 days against live pitching; we have not.  We will see what happens with our bats.

TK should be plenty rested.

Guachino is a freshman who was ranked #9 in EIS.  She's been hit or miss - she gave up 6 ER to Kentucky in one outing, 6 to Mizzou, 4 to South Carolina, 7 to Florida, 6 to Georgia, 4 and 3 to Tennessee.  She hasn't pitched more than 5.2 innings since April 4

She has a 6.03 SEC-only ERA

My guess is we do not see Lopez unless Ole Miss has a lead late and then even then, maybe not for long.

We should just run-rule them

Well to be exact.....they still accomplished it, when we could not.

Bennett sucks in the outfield too, can't hide her

Truly awful to watch her

Is Quiroga not better than Bennett?   Surely she's a better hitter?

To me she's better overall. Not exactly Clemente in the OF, but a better arm and way more power at the plate.

I was thinking the same with the bat.  Wish he'd let her prove it.
