November 4Nov 4 maybe and this is a big maybe They are getting so fucking roasted all over the internet still for that bullshit they pulled with Vandy that we will have a chance to get a fair game in Athens. Last giant away game we got normal officiating Fuck Kirby

Last giant away game we got normal officiating Fuck Kirby Which was surprising because that was before we went SEC. Of course the RIg 12 refs screwed us on our own turf vs Bama the year before. We had hopes the officiating would be a giant upgrade vs the Rig12. So far it’s been underwhelming for the most part save they do throw flags against OU when we play them. But UGA is the SEC’s OU and we will see this play out in some fashion next week.

I guess because it was so bad in the RIG 12, even some of the shady stuff in the SEC looked minor league. It’s not until at least from my perspective I started watching more of the league games when we joined I didn’t realize they were just a slight step or two below the Rig 12. And not big steps…..

November 4Nov 4 I mean, that Vandy game wasn't exactly short. They had to circle jerk for 5 minutes just to figure out if there was a way to screw us out of the on-side kick.

I think the b12 stuff had the stink of just being anti-Texas, while the sec stuff seemed more pro-top teams. And we expected to be on the top tier of teams that would get protection or at least a level game against the mid and poor teams, with the big head to heads being tbd. and through the lens of the sec, that’s what happened on Saturday. They tried to protect #9 on the road against whatever number we were. They did not steal the win, but they probably kept vandy’s rep more intact for playoff selection than if they had lost to us by 14-21.

The ball almost hit the foot of one of the refs several feet out of bounds, and he didn't immediately call it out. Btw, what's the rule on Simmons' clapping penalty? I know about snap simulation, but it appeared as if was just turning to his teammates to clap. If he was actually trying to f with the snap, why wasn't he lined up in a way to take advantage of it?

November 4Nov 4 21 hours ago, Nueces River Rat said: Yes he was. Pick your battles and Saturday was prime for picking. After a few of those missed holding calls, Sark should've been working them and then went ape chit on them with the DPI in the end zone. If he gets a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct, so be it. He had everything supporting his outrage including the replay on stadium video board, the TV commentators which pointed it out, and most the X/Twitter verse. And then everything called against us from there is looked through that lense. He can’t because he’s calling the plays. Thats the difference. It’s the inherent flaw in the head coach as a play caller model. You have to focus too much on the offense to coach the entire team / coach the game as it unfolds. This is why we don’t make a lot of changes IMO to the offensive game plan during the games as well. It’s also why we are such a low IQ and sloppy team too. This may be way off… but I don’t think so. Sark, if you’re listening, please god hire a coordinator.
November 4Nov 4 Money is a good motivator. Your family's safety is a great motivator. Would anyone be that surprised if these refs are living in the land of the lobos? Gambling and sports have never been more tied at the hip.

November 4Nov 4 I re-watched the plays to identify the culprits. 2 point conversion: Head Linesman Christopher Hess Pavia takedown: Head Linesman Christopher Hess Missed PI on Moseley: Back Judge Brett Toney and Field Judge Scotty Melancon “False start:” Line Judge Chris Snuggs, Umpire Trenton Crawford No one has mentioned it, but I also believe Vanderbilt simulated the snap to cause the False start two plays before that and get us for 5 yards. I think that should also have been called on them. Same LB #11 jumped on both plays, causing us to jump. Those 2 False starts are at 2:01:00 and 2:03:28 of this broadcast:

That second false start call at 2:03:28 is such BS. This skycam replay shows it clear as day. Also interesting to see the immediate reactions of Arch and CJ because they just know that it's offsides on the defense...and then see the reactions of multiple Texas players as the idiocy unfolds. Parker Livingstone is especially perturbed.
November 4Nov 4 at this rate i think the SEC is just going to roll straight into this weekends refball without even addressing what happened this weekend

The play call was to get Vanderbilt to jump offsides, which they did. If they didn’t, we were going to call timeout and attempt a field goal. Edited November 4Nov 4 by Baconboy

November 6Nov 6 The only fix is to remove officiating at the conference level. Make officials regional and they get assignments based on competency. So, a crew in the Southeast could work CUSA, SEC, BIG 12, Sun Belt, and American conference games. A crew in the midwest could work B1G, MAC, etc. But the biggest problem I see is gambling and prop bets, there is no way you are going to find 600+ honest dudes to work a college football weekend.
