October 12Oct 12 Didn’t Paul Crew drill a ref in the nuts with the football in The Longest Yard?I told my son last night during the final two minute fucking of the first half, if I was an Auburn player, I’d have to tell a ref I was gonna fuck him up. Damn. That roughing penalty was such weak shit too.

I’d love to see him trucked and then finally flagged for sideline interference.

October 12Oct 12 Players should go out of their way to hit him if he is on the field. They need to aim for him when they get close tot hat sideline too.

Lower integrity than this? Another move he also waived off as being "misunderstood" Edited October 12Oct 12 by Surly Bevo

October 13Oct 13 I have no love for Auburn, but they seem a target. The game against OU was clear and blatant fuckery that cost them the game. Now this against GA.

October 13Oct 13 IMO, the SEC bias is straightforward. The thumb will be on the scale for the higher ranked team until which time it is clear the lower ranked team is better. Then, they ease up and see some the more straightforward violations. That said, they do seem to dislike Auburn (or is it Freeze) and "like" Georgia. With 15 different camera views and the luxury of replay, it's easy to conclude "all college refs suck" and not be incorrect. With the same luxury of replay and angles, I am amazed at how good NFL refs are.

With the same luxury of replay and angles, I am amazed at how good NFL refs are. You might be right. I had better hopes SEC officiating would be a ton better than what we experienced in Rig 12 and it is , but marginally IMO. When we played Bama in 2023 at their place and the SEC Refs called the game, I thought they gave us a fair shot. But then when we played UGA last year all bets were off. My thinking is some of the SEC Ref crews are true Blue Bloods and resented the new teams coming into the conference and in particular us because we are not exactly a Southern school in a small town/city like most of our counterparts. UGA does get of favorable treatment but I contend one reason it's because Kirby is always in the Refs ears. There is some logic the Refs will throw a coach a bone or two to shut him up. But yes they do seem to get more favorable treatment much like we've seen in the NFL with whomever is the top dogs or who is supposed to be the top dogs like Kansas City. At this point I give that a zero chance of happening unless Kirby gets trucked by an opposing player during a play. I mean he shoved a Miss State player last season and he claimed he didn't remember the incident and the SEC office basically said nothing to see here.

On that play, he said they were doing that and he was running over to tell the official that Auburn players were clapping. I haven’t watched the clip more than a few times, but because of who we are talking about, I ain’t buying it. I am catching up on this. He clearly came up with this idea at some point in the last month to save a delay of game without burning a timeout because SEC refs. It's a one shot opportunity, though. The dude is an embarrassment and a liar. This was premeditated for the right situation. And it worked.
October 13Oct 13 The refs are susceptible because they are no real repercussions for this fuckery. If it's the conference paying them, they take their lumps, and nobody even remembers their names. Same with team boosters, etc.
