Dude. You are obsessed with the refs.

Did you throw a brick thru your tv when Herbstreit said there was a definite block in the back on the punt return for a touchdown?

Because correct officiating is important to you.

Right?

no because the refs in the dirt burglar game still owe us about 1,364 calls in that game.

By making the timeout signal and yelling timeout timeout timeout?

Made even worse by the fact that he likes to abuse the “defensive simulation” rules as bad as anyone with his coordinated line shifts and bluff blitz stuff.

I started to type that, but honestly couldn’t remember if that’s how it went or not. Good to know I wasn’t making that up…

Didn’t Paul Crew drill a ref in the nuts with the football in The Longest Yard?

I told my son last night during the final two minute fucking of the first half, if I was an Auburn player, I’d have to tell a ref I was gonna fuck him up. Damn.

That roughing penalty was such weak shit too.

It would be awesome if someone would do the same to Kirby as he runs up and down the sidelines like he did with his timeout and at times (many) on the field of play.    I’d love to see him trucked and then finally flagged for sideline interference.

You want to give him the Mackovic treatment?

too soon

Players should go out of their way to hit him if he is on the field.

Players should go out of their way to hit him if he is on the field.

They need to aim for him when they get close tot hat sideline too.

I never had a lot of respect for Kirby but that was truly the lowest integrity move from a head coach in a game that I can remember. Legitimately one the lowest integrity move I’ve ever seen from a head coach in my watching football for thirty years. Fuck Kirby Smart forever and ever. What a colossal piece of shit liar.

Lower integrity than this?

Another move he also waived off as being "misunderstood"

I’d like to point out the irony or stupidity for so many posters wishing for these great sec refs.

Yep. I saw 2 completely separate blowu holding calls on Saturday. That's nothing short of a monumental sea change.

Indeed.  This has to be a first for at least a very long time.    LOL maybe going back to when they were Big 8 and we were SWC?

I have no love for Auburn, but they seem a target.  The game against OU was clear and blatant fuckery that cost them the game.  Now this against GA.

They are the Iowa State of the SEC it seems.

And yet they can still, or at least could under previous environments, throw together an undefeated season now and again.

The SEC must really hate Hugh Freeze.

Since he was definitely signaling timeout, I don’t give two shits what he says about clapping.

He absolutely should be flagged repeatedly for being on the field. He intimidates officials during and after games and this is the result. The conference needs to stop it.

with the addition of Texas and the dirt burglars the "pecking order" has changed.  no one, especially refs, gives 2 shits if Auburn makes the SEC championship.

for sure when the game was in doubt.

the point, which people continually lose, is there isn't(only 2 games) a bias when Texas plays in the cotton bowl now. refs suck in general but the suck should even out.  That was NEVER the case for 20 years in the cotton bowl.

No, but they give a shit about Auburn knocking off GA and keeping them out or with a lower ranking

IMO, the SEC bias is straightforward.  The thumb will be on the scale for the higher ranked team until which time it is clear the lower ranked team is better.  Then, they ease up and see some the more straightforward violations.  That said, they do seem to dislike Auburn (or is it Freeze) and "like" Georgia.

With 15 different camera views and the luxury of replay, it's easy to conclude "all college refs suck" and not be incorrect.  With the same luxury of replay and angles, I am amazed at how good NFL refs are.

You might be right.  I had better hopes SEC officiating would be a ton better than what we experienced in Rig 12 and it is , but marginally IMO.   When we played Bama in 2023 at their place and the SEC Refs called the game, I thought they gave us a fair shot.   But then when we played UGA last year all bets were off.  My thinking is some of the SEC Ref crews are true Blue Bloods and resented the new teams coming into the conference and in particular us because we are not exactly a Southern school in a small town/city like most of our counterparts.

UGA does get of favorable treatment but I contend one reason  it's because Kirby is always in the Refs ears.  There is some logic the Refs will throw a coach a bone or two to shut him up.  But yes they do seem to get more favorable treatment much like we've seen in the NFL with whomever is the top dogs or who is supposed to be the top dogs like Kansas City.  Or back in the 80's when I was kid it was San Francisco

At this point I give that a zero chance of happening unless Kirby gets trucked by an opposing player during a play.  I mean he shoved a Miss State player last season and he claimed he didn't remember the incident and the SEC office  basically said nothing to see here.

I haven’t watched the clip more than a few times, but because of who we are talking about, I ain’t buying it.

I am catching up on this.  He clearly came up with this idea at some point in the last month to save a delay of game without burning a timeout because SEC refs.  It's a one shot opportunity, though.  The dude is an embarrassment and a liar.  This was premeditated for the right situation.  And it worked.

The refs are susceptible because they are no real repercussions for this fuckery.

If it's the conference paying them, they take their lumps, and nobody even remembers their names.  Same with team boosters, etc.

No - he drilled Ray Nitschke who was playing a LB. Twice

Back in the 80's Pat Dye commented on playing Alabama. If it's 4 and 1 you better get 3 yards

I said that should've been a penalty. Don't worry, if Texas does that in Athens it'll be a personal foul and targeting.

And I can guarantee if it happens on the Georgia sideline, Kirby will be right in the Refs face about where the that Ref comes into picture at the end.

They can just knock off the farce and give Kirby his own yellow flags to throw already.
