I still can’t believe the 2 point replay. I can’t believe the on-field call either, but mistakes get made. Upon replay, there was no shot that showed the ball breaking the plane. None. Zero evidence it happened.  But for some reason the decision was that the official had a better angle than all of the cameras so we have to go with that.

by that definition, it shouldn’t even be reviewable unless you put a camera right where you say it needs to be in order to overturn a call.  Otherwise, every camera will have an angle and the SJ will obviously be to the millimeter right down the line to have a better view than all of them.

And pretty sure this was same asshole (official) who missed the PI/holding on what should have a been a TD in the endzone.

SEC needs to fire this crew like they did the crew from the Auburn-GA game. Total BS the way calls went against us in the 2nd half and especially the 4th qtr.

I don’t understand the “fear of the fine” when discussing the refs. The people are multi millionaires, they aren’t getting fined that much. Same with the schools.

I do understand that if they outwardly call them out too much, the refs are gonna gang bang them.

This is this issue, not money but if you cross the line and point out they are crooked they just get worse.

Then again Kirby says “they tried to cheat us” and they still give them every fucking call all year.

Been waiting for this all morning but no one has posted, so here it is. I'm one of those who was cut off from coverage yesterday so I just listened to the game on Sirius XM while working, and these YouTube highlights are the first time I've seen the plays.

On the video highlights, it's obvious that the pylon never moves.

Haven’t tried to find a replay to watch but live as soon as the ball misses the pylon I looked at the ref and he already had two hands up, so he must have called it good somewhere around the second image above.  Somehow.

The link I gave shows pretty much all the plays, including the personal foul against Filsaime on the sideline, which occurs at the 16:00 mark and has multiple replays. Gotta give credit to Pavia on that one. Shrewd MF who manipulated the play into a penalty.

Pavia is a scheming POS off the field with his lawyer so why would he be anything different on the field.

this is a snap from a clip posted in the game thread and it's the moment ref began the signal. You can also see the angle and proximity of a second ref.

Ok then I was wrong. But that means he decided it was good after the ball missed the pylon, at which time the only logical conclusion is that it never crossed.

Speaking of crappy SEC officiating, the Razorbacks did themselves no favors yesterday with some bonehead plays, but they were in it the whole game - until the refs decided they shouldn’t be. 18 penalties for 193 yards vs. 4 penalties for 30 yards for Miss. State.

I can see why he might have made it a "just in case it did cross" call, but the videos provided more than enough evidence to overturn it. Yeah, maybe some really, really thick laces that we couldn't see well on camera might have just nicked the plane of the goal line, but at that point, the replay officials should have just said, "Too many gambling arrests and referee suspensions to risk this letting this slide." The end of that game was not a good look and now goes onto the same shelf as the Okie State and Grant Teaff productions.

Edit: except this one had the proper happy ending.

can someone please make a list of all the fuckery incidents with the game time of occurrence, or the time marker in the youtube replay?

In no particular order:

Ignored PI on pass to Mosely

Ignored hold on Pavia run (among others)

Absolute BS 2 point call

BS 15 on Filsaime that belonged to Pavia

False start when 2 DL crossed LOS first

Phantom hold on Shannon

Vandy RT false starts every passing play

thank you dennis - can someone please sort these with the game time or youtube time?

If you are the on the field ref there is ZERO downside in making the call you'd prefer.

I was wrong on the game thread.  I said it looked like Mosley gave a push live, but he was actually him knocking the DB's hold off of him. (Wax off style)

Yep. The ref is standing right there looking for exactly that, and somehow couldn't see it? The only way you 'miss' that one is if you're trying to miss it.

Im surprised at how pissed off I still am. This team earned a better win than what they ended up with. I know nothing is going to happen either.

Did that change? It definitely was put on the 2 yard line 5 years ago.

I get why Vandy started tackling our DL but your take is bad. When your kids are being jackasses and ignoring you, do you just throw your hands up and make them other people’s problem?

It wasn’t a take just an observation about these dipshit refs. I’m in the camp of fire them all for point shaving and yes call holding every time no matter what and throw coach out of game if he even looks funny

Don’t worry, the SEC refs will rectify that by reversing the numbers when they play in Austin in 3 weeks.

It's only put at the 2 if the line of scrimmage is the 17 to the 2 yard line. College, for as long as I can remember, has been: 1) spot of the foul within 15 yards, 2) 15 yards if foul occurred more than 15 yards. Both with automatic 1st down.

Correct, the refs clearly had an agenda to make the game exciting. The calls were bad to the point where it was beyond the level of incomptence. I was at the game. Crowd was pissed.

You're far too kind, imho. I think it's far more likely that they had an agenda to make sure Vandy lost by no more than 3.

I have no doubt that Vegas paid off these refs. There is no other explanation. When we play UGA, we are likely to get royally fucked again because the SEC will do everything to protect its higher ranked teams.

The whole situation with the PF on Fulsimae is enraging.  the stupid fuck play by play guy immediately goes to jump to conclusion mat that Filsaime is at fault, as does the idiot McElroy.  the refs of course have no idea what they are doing.  It is obvious he is trying to hold up Pavia but officials don't think because they are to busy trying to be football safety cops instead of watching the actual situation.

Tbf they both saw it on the replay & pointed it out though.

yes they mentioned it right after the 30 seconds and multiple replays of "OMG, they are going to kill Pavia/Heisman trophy leader, OMG that has to be a penalty!".  then very quietly "well maybe the fans have a point.."

The best way to do this is certainly not to let Texas race out to a 24 point 4th quarter lead and then stomp on the scale enough to help vandy all the way back but only with dumb Texas shit going on as well to help.  The manner in which it happened makes the conspiracy doubt worthy.

It was 24-3 before they knew what was going on.  that said I'm not in on the gambling conspiracy.  I'm going in on bias angle, help Pavia, Vandy is the higher ranked team BS.  they allowed Vandy line to hold with impunity, for basically 3 quarters because without that Pavia gets beat 48-17.

that said if we just stop 4th and 19, even with the 1 play TD bust, we control the narrative.  fucking Akina.

5 hours ago, Hookem10 said:

not to absolve the refs but all I could think watching the game was, they could call holding every play against Vandy. this game will last forever. Vandy had no chance blocking any of our guys legally and I think Vandy and the refs were like fuck me ,what are we suppose to do. can't call holding every play.

Seriously, Clark?

5 hours ago, Pato del Muerto said:

If they’d call it several times in a row, maybe they’d stop holding. Ignoring it encourages it.

Yeah, I mean, how many times was Vandy even called for holding? Not many. If there's no consequence, they're just gonna keep doing it.

I think they got called twice.  one in first half on 3rd and 1 that killed a drive and one on the last TD drive at our 5 on 1st down which they overcame and scored a TD.  since it was on our 5 and 1st down they basically had a 1st and 15 which isn't as nearly difficult to overcome but they did it none the less.

Yep. Speaking of which ... y'all go take care of this assclown (aggy, I presume, judging by the lifted 4x4 he uses as his profile pic).

I mean, we won, so it's all good, right? What a fucking idiot. There's more where that came from.

after further review, I got that call wrong.  One OL is only tackling ONE of our DL.  But that not holding so no problem.  Another OL is holding TWO guys, but I’m not sure how you call that.  The other OL is hugging a DL but that just him exhibiting feelings and it’s away from the play.   So, touchdown?

That was a great view.  Ball caught at the 2, he turns and starts extending from the 1 and the ball goes on a linear trajectory possibly/maybe a hint beyond the pylon once he crosses out of bounds.   Of course we know from other angles the ball was not above the pylon and it missed the pylon, basic geometry says there’s no way that conversion was good.

Good for Manny for only pushing him back.  Back in the dark ages I would have ripped his helmet off and hit him with it, and the ref would have told us to “knock off the horseplay”
