Normally I wait until the Circa sports book lines come out in about an hour, but this seems insane to me.

Tons of respect being given to the Horns, no matter who the starting QB is.

considering that we dont have a healthy rb corps, we are on our QB2, Sark is gonna call off the dogs once we are 30ish points ahead.

the only way we win by 7 TD is if there are 2 or 3 defensive scores.

ULM isn’t good. For the most part, Sarkisian runs the offense even with backups, rather than simply grinding clock on the ground.

Yeah, we had 23rd string RB's ripping off 8-yard runs in the 4th quarter.  We can cover this.

63-10.

48 points is...uhhhh a lot even if we're healthy.  I don't think they score more than 7 and that's a garbage time or turnover score.  But are we going to score 55+ ...potentially without QE and Blue?  We CAN but will we?  I think once Sark gets up by 35 he starts running 3 times in a row, like we saw w/ Trey Owens, gets out of the game without more injuries.  What's the use of live reps when the team you're playing is probably not as good as your 3rd string in practice?  I rarely bet Texas but here I'd take ULM and the points.

Circa opens at -42, over under 55.5

ULM is a running team right? I feel like this is a good opportunity for another shut out. So I don't know.

52-0 again might be realistic even with our injuries.

I don't see it. Sark will try to limit injuries and win by 2 or 3 tds. I think someone else said can we? yes. will we? I doubt it.

Sarkisian will try to win by 2 or 3 TDs? Seems pretty unlikely.

Is he going to tell his receivers to not run to the end zone? ULM doesn't have the athletes to cover our guys. He'll protect the RBs so throwing more and scoring more.

Would definitely take the points if I were going to bet on it. That's just too much, although I don't know the history of 42+ point favorites. It's not that we shouldn't beat ULM by at least 42 if we were going all out for 60 minutes, it's just that there are too many variables on if we will go all out the whole game.

Unless a ULM player talks shit to sark during the game and pisses him off, I don't see us covering that.

We don’t work at a quick enough tempo to deserve a line that high. Nor do we generally have a quick strike offense.  We also rotate freely at all positions to get experience in the depth.

We seem to be doing a great job of rotation this year.

We're giving up less than a touchdown per game. Your betting on can Texas score 49 on a poor coverage team.

If anyone knows how to do point spreads, its vegas. Id stay away from this one.

The last spread we had in the 40s was 2020 v UTEP and was -43. We covered 59-3.

Our average MOV this year against teams not defending the NC in their home stadium is just over 50. Covering 42 points against a bad team sounds at least possible.

I'm seeing on MyBookie and other sites that it's 45. So I'm guessing they just split the difference?

Calling it now, 23-15 ULM.

User name checks out

They are the absolute worst team in college football. I feel better about us -42 or -48 than I did about -35 against utsa

we will cover

ULM is the worst team on our schedule and that spread makes sense.

They are UTSA bad,

Do we really think we can cover vs General Booty?

Don’t know anything about ULM this year but Louisiana schools are usually pretty good so find that spread surprising.

I mean they beat UAB by 26.  They aren't good but they may be better than UTSA.

Well, they beat both Jackson State and UAB, so I'm going to have to ask you to show your work.

We just won by 49 against a better team idk why anyone thinks this is outlandish

I'm confused. ULM blew out UAB. UAB played Arkansas close. ULM is 2-0.

Why are people calling them the worst team in college football? UTSA looked like a dumpster fire against TXST.

People aren't.

One guy did.

Well multiple people are acting like ULM is significantly worse than UTSA. I think UTSA might be one of the 10-15 worst teams in the nation.

The worst 2-0 team in the nation?

I'm going to follow the advice of this thread and put all my money on ULM -48. I don't see any way we keep up with this juggernaut when we're stuck with our backup QB (who is from Louisiana by the way, just saying). I just hope that the entire university doesn't get swallowed up into the UL system and we become UL-Austin. Because that it is a distinct possibility.

they run the ball and will try to chew clock. if our D can get them on early 3 and outs  we will cover.  if they chew us for a few 1st downs per drive even if they don't score, we likely won't.

Owens and walk on RB's will be in there as soon as Sark deems it good.
